He is exactly what a Doctor is supposed to be
I am shocked to read those terrible reviews, but read them carefully, you will see that Dr. DeMaria is NOT the type of doctor that will lie on forms or prescribe meds that shouldn’t be prescribed. Think about it, if the Doctor did what they wanted, those would be 5 star reviews that would read along the lines of, “I was a new patient, he gave the drugs I wanted!” 5 stars! “I was a new patient and he lied on my employment form!” 5 Stars! I want a doctor who tends to my health, so Dr. DeMaria has been my doctor for about 2 years now. He is so good that he is now the Primary doctor for my son, who is medically complicated. Dr. DeMaria fearlessly saw patients, including myself during Covid. He is ALWAYS prepared for our appointments. He is well versed, because he takes the time to review my history, the notes of my other doctors & labs since my last appointment. If you want a great quarterback to help you SUCESSFULLY navigate your medical issues, you won’t go wrong with him.!

Terrible Doctor! I had to go to him for Pre-Employment forms. He diagnosed me with anxiety on them! He is not a psychologist, psychiatrist, or anything like that; he is purely basing this diagnosis on me anecdotally saying I had anxiety in high school at out first appointment months ago. I also cannot diagnose myself with anxiety! This man's brain is extremely normative, distasteful to anyone not exactly like him, and judgemental. Why negatively effect my employment opportunities and my boss' potential perception of me, especially during a global pandemic that has had massive economic repercussions? There is no reason, and frankly it goes against the heart of the hippocratic oath. It sends the message to your patients: "please lie to me." It's called maleficence. AVOID THIS MAN.

Extremely unprofessional! I was given an appt with him by the office staff at Winthrop Internal Medicine Associates as I told them I would see any doctor I just need prescription refills. During my first visit with Dr. Demaria I asked him to write me a prescription for a medication that I’ve been prescribed for over 5 years. He even confirmed with my pharmacy I’ve been prescribed it. He told me during my visit he would write the prescription. The next day he leaves me a voicemail telling me he is not comfortable giving it to me and canceled the prescription with the pharmacy. My primary care physician is in the same practice as Dr Demaria. When I called Dr Demaria and asked why didn’t he consult my pcp he told me he has the right to change his mind and if I want I can make another appointment with my pcp at the same practice. If he had an issue with writing me a script I can understand that, tell me while I’m there in the office, so I can ask to see my pcp that was there that day.
