I saw Dr. Cote at Marian ER for a red extremely painful rash on my inner thigh. I was concerned that it could be shingles or even a blood clot since I’m on hormonal replacement. He was very dismissive, had no idea what the rash was, did not ultrasound, and acted like he was not concerned at all. I told him it was getting worse and extremely painful and hot to the touch. He sent me home with pamphlets on contact dermatitis lol. I followed my instincts to follow up with a more caring experienced doctor today and turns out it is Shingles. It was diagnosed easily and I’m relieved we caught it before the rash blistered or got worse. The doctor said it was good I came in and noticed it was not a normal rash. Dr Cote was terrible.
