Dr. Chung Saved my Life
I had an emergency triple bypass for an aortic dissection & leaky valve. I see Dr. Chung every 3 mo. & have had many diagnostic tests to monitor my CVD. Dr. Chung & team are kind, patient and professional. Dr. Chung explains issues in detail & takes time to address patient concerns. Office assistants promptly reply to calls & pass detailed notes to recipients. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for scheduled appointments. I have complete trust in Dr. Chung's expertise & compassionate care. He eases the patient's anxiety with his great sense of humor & genuine concern. I highly recommend Dr. Chung. PS The reason wait time for an appointment may seem so long is bc Dr. Chung performs numerous heart surgeries as well as seeing new patients & those for continued follow ups. He has privileges at St. Mary's & Henrico Doctors Forest, hence a very busy schedule. You'll find the same of any specialist.

Totally unorganized when scheduling appt., unable to see you within a reasonable time when experiencing hypertensive crisis -waited over a week for appt, did not want to review history or look at pcp records we brought, sent to ER for cardiac work-up -didn’t see us in hosp, only wrote discharge orders with med changes, was supposed to call to discuss tests - did not, called 6 days after discharge due to extremely high bp again and was unable to see us for 6 days. Totally bad experience every step of the way and will be our last visit!

Not a happy patient!
Felt very rushed. Orders for labs needed not placed by him as he was supposed to. Not happy at all.
