Dr. Champion was one of the pulmonologists who cared for my partner while she was at Legacy Good Samaritan in May of 2019. While all of the doctors and nurses at this hospital are very good to excellent (shout out to nurse Shasha!), I have to say that Dr. Champion stood out as unique for being independently minded, upbeat, friendly and encouraging - a beam of light walking in the door. His demeanor alone is powerfully healing. I wish Legacy would reverse its pro-assisted suicide policy. Placing a dark shadow over the gift that Dr. Champion brings to us undercuts Legacy’s mission and impedes Dr. Champion’s ability to be all that he can be. Thank you, Dr. Champion!
