Dr Byers saw me in ICU on an Easter holiday weekend, gave good information, answered questions and went out of his way for someone who wasn't even his patient.

No respect for time
This Dr ran over 1 hour late . No apologies , no updates just disrespect ! The office staff found it amusing when a patient called and said they were in pain and needed an appointment. This man needs to choose a profession that requires zero contact with patients . Big ego ....No respect !

Had 1:15 appointment today, 7/11. Arrived at 1:05 pm..did check-in online. 1:35-1:40, Dr.Byers walks into waiting room, says "I'm sorry "...will catch up as fast as I can, late lunch"! Have never met or seen him before. Seriously? At about 1:50 inquired about my 1:15 appointment. Staff said he was running behind because of lunch. Was taken back to exam room and then waited until almost 2:30 for him. Nurse/Staff said it's a "laid back" office. Seriously? I find it very rude, inconsiderate. Look at the Credo on Door in Room 2. Has anyone read it! Absolutely the worst provider I have encountered in Intercoastal/Sarasota

Had sinus surgery (had several before in another state). Surgery was easy and recovery time was minimal compared to my other surgeries. Office staff is great and Dr. Byers did a wonderful job. Wait time I. Office can be longer than usual, but he is worth the wait.

Expectations not met
He was about an hour late to my appointment. Felt rushed when he was seeing me for the first time, as if he were trying to make up for the time he is now running behind and was not very helpful in recommending steps for my medical treatment. In addition, he did not have a caring, concerned demeanor. Felt like you as a patent were just a number to him that he has to see to get through the day.

I was referred to Dr. Byers from my GP. He was very kind and patient with me. I did not feel rushed and my questions were all addressed. I felt very confident with my diagnosis after seeing Dr. Byers. I have already given his name to several friends who were looking for an ENT. He does run a bit behind however now that I know that I come with a book!

Based on one FNA inconclusive report told me I could have lung cancer. Seemingly didn’t even review report before meeting with me. Did not have any other test results to go by. What kind of doctor does that? FYI my petscan was completely clear!

I met Dr Byers for the first time today. I loved his laid back personality. He made me feel very comfortable to ask questions, took time to explain the situation, allowed me to look at my scan with him and found the mistake a radiologist had made when reading the scan. Yes, I would recommend Dr. Byers.

The timeliness of the doctor is awful. The appointment runs at least 60 minutes or more late. The office staff seems to be having fun while the patient’s wait on end. It doesn’t matter If a student is with the doctor because the doctor is setting an example of not respecting the patient’s time.
