Dr. Matt Hammit, MD

I wanted to get a second opinion and ask for a copy of my MRI and Xrays. I brought their copy to my doctor and it was blank so I had to reschedule another appointment. I a got a second copy which the staff assured me was a good copy but it was bad too. I asked for a 3rd time of a copy and dropped by but the office forgot my request. I called again and the PA said to come by Tomball instead of The Woodlands office. I called and left a message for the PA again and she never called. Complete incompetence and poor service by his staff. I spent thousands on MRI and Xrays that the staff refuses to provide to me

This was my first visit, and I will not go back! He was uninterested in the problem, never even looked at or touched my leg. just did not seem to care. The problem I went for was never even addressed by the doctor, when I told him about it. I felt I was just annoying to him. I will defiantly be finding a different doctor.

Dr. Hammit is excellent. He has successfully repaired 100% tears of rotator cuffs in each shoulder. These were very successful, allowing me to get back to the golf course within 3 months and back to 100% within 4 months. He also performed ankle surgery on wife with excellent results. I would also like to highlight that Clay and his team at the Tomball PT facility are first class.

Dr. Hammit is phenomenal at his job. He did my ankle surgery and I haven’t had a single issue with it since. He is very compassionate and knowledgeable. He is also very thorough with his evaluations and treatment plans. He made sure I never left his office with questions/concerns. I was nervous bc I had never had a major injury or needed surgery before, but he was very calm, kind, and confident which made me feel better. He has exceeded my expectations and definitely gained my trust, highly recommend!!!

I had an office visit which I knew would result in just needing to get an MRI. I got that done and they called to say you need surgery, great schedule it. They called said it was scheduled, sent me info but then called and said you need to pay this amount upfront (over $1,000), I said I don't have that, I would have to cancel it if you require it upfront. No offer to help w/payment plan nothing. They gave me my MRI results. I have sent multiple emails and left several msgs to see if I can get help with this and no one has contacted me back. Seems if you don't have available funds they will not help you. Super disappointed since I am an established patient and have used this doctor in the past.

After injuring my shoulder during a CrossFit competition Dr. Hammit was immediately able to diagnose my injury and confirm it with an MRI. I went to get a couple other opinions after meeting g with Dr. Hammit. He was the only doctor to treat me with respect and share my goal of getting back to competing. Many doctors view normal people as "not professional athletes" (as one doctor said) and don't do what's best to meet the goal of the patients. After surgery, I never even notice my injury now.

Dr. Hammit and his staff did not seem to care at all about me as a patient or about the pain I was having. Also the injection given in my knee by a staff member was extremely painful and again no one even cared. I have never had such an unpleasant experience at any doctor's office. It seemed as if Dr. Hammit and his staff were "above" handling something minor like knee pain. I will not go back or refer anyone to Dr. Hammit.

He made sure ALL of my questions were answered, every time.
