This was the craziest experience ever!!! I was told by Dr.Ninan that I could possibly have lung Cancer and I would have to have 1/3 of my lung cut out to even confirm this that it was behind my rgt lung.He said the spot on my lung got bigger in the 2nd catscan and we needed to hurry up and do this surgery ASAP!! So I scheduled surgery w him asap spent 2 days in trinity hospital, 4 hrs before surgery his nasty PA came in my room yelling and screaming, waking me up out of a dead sleep telling me that I needed get up,what was I doing I had to get up and wipe myself down w the surgical wipes rgt now!!! I simply said I need to take a shower 1st with the iodine soap and she started yelling, this is ridiculous your already a risk ,flinging her hands in the air saying we're probably going to have to cancel the surgery and flying out the door.I pretty much sat there in awe.A little while later the nurse came in and said ur being discharged and I was like what???? This was w no explanation I was livid!!! With all the preparation and all the rearranging of my life they just canceled my surgery. As soon as I got home I called my lung doctor and couldn't get an appointment to find out what that was all about for 4 days!! When I finally got to see him I asked him why did they cancel my surgery when it was such an emergency? He proceeded to read the notes the surgeon wrote and it said that I refused to shower.I must of told the PA(Michelle) 4 separate times that I needed to take a shower 1st before I used the wipes,It wasn't my first surgery I had. I know the system. After this whole mess I went to Moffitt and they had scans pulled up rgt in front of me and told me you DONT HAVE CANCER!!! You have a lung infection!!! The spot on your lung moved,it didn't get bigger!! I'm writing this to try and save other people that might have seen him to PLEASE get a second opinion if he says u need ur lung or part of ur lung taken out.To think I was literally 4 hrs from getting a piece of my lung cut off and I didn't even need it.This is not a simple surgery. I believe God saved me as weird as this whole thing was and Michelle should find another profession she has to be the nastiest, most uncompationate medical personnel I've ever come across!!!

I'm running a little behind with this as I met with Dr. Ninan back in February, and shortly there after he performed an inpatient procedure - much to my satisfaction. I am grateful to have been referred to Dr. Ninan. He provided me with a sense of 'calm' regarding the surgery. His staff, both in office and in hospital are outstanding - compassionate, will answer any question, and all have an upbeat 'sunshiny' personality. Would definitely work with his group again and recommend him to anyone who might need his specialized services.

Grateful for Dr. Ninan and his whole team
Dr. Ninan performed my surgery for lung cancer and removed part of my right lung. He is an amazing surgeon; I am very grateful that my primary doctor referred me to him. He is very caring as is his entire staff from Peggy who is the first person to greet you in the office and on the phone when you call the office, Summer his office nurse that treated me like family I can't say enough about how kind she was to me through the whole process of setting up the surgery to his Nurse Practitioner, Michelle she is so good at putting you at ease with her kind and compassionate way. Dr Ninan has assembled a wonderful caring team. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Ninan and his whole team. Thank you.

Dr Ninan performed my surgery for esophageal cancer and as far as I am concerned, he did a phenomenal job. He is very caring as is his entire staff. While I was in the hospital after the surgery, the highlight of my day was when Dr Ninan's Nurse Practioner, Michelle came to visit. She was and is wonderful. Her personality and positive attitude helped enormously. A shout-out to Dr Ninan's office nurse, Summer, who I bombarded with silly questions. She is great. Dr Ninan has assembled a fantastic team. Thank you!

My husband has been seeing Dr. Ninan for a few months now for gist tumors. Dr. Ninan has explained everything clearly to us and doesn't rush us .My husband is undergoing some more tests which will determine surgery date. Diane in the office is a Godsend to us. She always has the answers to my questions and if I forget something she has it in her notes. She takes a stressful situation and puts us at ease. She takes care of us with a smile and a great attitude. Thank you both Dr. Ninan and Diane!

I have had nothing but a positive experience here every time I have come into their office. Diane at the front desk is extremely kind and helpful. She has gone above and beyond to help me get the referrals needed for my procedures, and always does it with patience and professionalism. Dr Ninan is also a very nice doctor who takes his time to listen to your concerns and questions. I would definitely recommend coming here if you need a surgery done.

I scheduled an appointment to have my mother's chest port removed since we weren't going to proceed with chemo and the port was bothering my mother. Dr. Ninan started by talking about cancer treatment and symptoms for my mom while she was in the hospital and suggesting I see a 3rd oncologist to see about other treatments than chemo/radiation, then told me I was confused about whether to have my mom treated. I reinforced that I wanted the port removed. He said he wasn't aware. He waffled and said he couldn't do it today and had to see her in clinic. It was very nonchalant. I asked him if he was refusing service and he got mad. At that point I lost confidence and left the office.

Recently diganoised with esophageal cancer, I was referred to Dr. Ninan. After more tests, we found out the cancer is also in my lungs as well, Dr. Ninan has been most understanding with my decision to not take cemo or radiation. He is working with me as a patient that wants to make my own decisions for my treatment. Thank you Dr. Ninan for that. I highly recommend Dr. Ninan. He has spent valuable time explaining my situation and offered any help I may need in the future. Roy
