Dr. Mary Mayer, MD

Dr Mayer or “the boss lady” as I refer to her is simply the best. 28 months ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic melanoma. Today all my scans are 100% clear!! God has blessed this lady with skill and talent.

Dr Mayer and her staff have treated both my daughter and myself. The entire team is wonderful. Caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and honest. My daughter and I are so blessed to have had Dr Mayer and her team.

Not good at all. Been going to her for a blood condition for several years. Seems like every year her focus was less and less and she just talked over me and told me to come back in 4 months not even considering what I was saying. I used to blame her office staff for orders not getting called in to the lab, but now after Dr Mayer's lack of attention during a visit, I feel confident Dr Mayer is at fault and probably did not follow through. I am sure Dr Mayer still has the skills she had when I first started going to her but for some reason she does not really seem to care anymore. I won't see her again and would not recommend her.

Dr Mayer is very inconsiderate & severely lacks listening skills. She mistakenly knows what you are going to say before you complete your sentence. I was so fatiqued and not feeling well, from 60 rounds of radiation etc...,that I couldn't be a good advocate of my health care and push to be heard. I decided to trust her, and get through my Imfinzi immunology treatments. This was a grave error in judgment. Now my eye is compromised, and I will have to have an eye operation. Due to my thyroid numbers going from 3 to 72.4. I had asked her to check my thyroid. Before I could tell her my symptoms she said its not time yet. And as usual left the room quickly. She doesn't say, is thier anything else? Or give any indication she is done. Her usual time spent with patients is 3 minutes, or most always less then 5 minutes. I repeatedly explained due to my brain fog it may take me a minute to gather my words. Will she please be considerate and listen. I highly recommend seeing another oncologist.

Uncaring and completely oblivious to my conditions. Referred me out and made me feel like a burden to her. I left crying her office every time and I will NEVER be back.

Years back my mother was her patient, after she thought she got rid of the cancer Dr. Mayer convinced her that all the pain she had afterwards was a result of the scar tissue, it wasn't. The cancer had come back and spread to her lungs. It might have been caught if she listened to my mother and checked. Maybe she would still be here, who knows. So no I would not recommend her to anybody and if she is already your doctor please listen to your body if something don't feel right get it checked.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mayer's for 11 1/2 years. In that time, she has proved to have my best interests at heart. She is very knowledgeable in her field and seems to keep up on all of the newest information regarding how to better serve her patients before, during, and after treatments. It is nice to know I have a doctor I can trust to keep me well informed and will be there for me when needed.

she is very dedicated and caring. she called us at home on a Friday night because of her concern with my husband. she follows up on everything immediately. I would highly recommend Dr. Mayer. I wish she could be my doctor.
