Dr. Mary Lupo, MD

I had a 10’ fall off a ladder that resulted in 14 stitches directly on my left cheek. I was told my multiple physicians that I would require plastic surgery because of the placement and the size of the scar. Then I consulted Dr Lupo. She began a series of treatments using a variety of tools to address the scar tissue under my face and the disfigurement on my cheek. I can tell you without exaggeration that she has nearly made the injury unrecognizable in 6 months. She has all the machines and lasers along with so many years of experience. All that is great and has been instrumental in my improvement. However, it is the care and compassion Dr. Lupo has exhibited to me that is everything to me. She cares and she is 100% on this difficult journey with me. I’m writing to let you know that, in addition to all that you may already know about Dr. Lupo’s expertise, she is a scar wizard and I am so grateful for that!

Dr. Lupo has a gift, and she knows just what is needed for optimal results. She just performed the UltraClear laser on my face. She discussed with me the benefits and downtime needed for the procedure. I opted for an aggressive treatment. Every effort was made to make sure I was comfortable for the procedure - and I was. At my 1 week followup, the results were really amazing. This newest laser has many options and Dr. Lupo knew which ones would benefit my skin and address my most concerning issues. She is really a DocStar and uses the best tools for maximum benefit. I was glad she recommended the UltraClear laser and knew which settings would give me the most benefit. And shoutout to the office staff and assistants that always keep me comfortable and make me feel at ease.

I have been going to Dr. Lupo for several years, not only is she passionate and knowledgable, she always gives you her honest opinion. For instance, I went in for a touch up visit and she instantly noticed I needed injections in my masseters due to grinding and clinching when I sleep. After a week I noticed significant decrease in pain, inflammation, and less headaches. Without her years of knowledge and expertise I would still suffer from those ailments. I cannot thank her enough and highly recommend her to anybody in need of a dermatologist.

Dr. Lupo took the time to answer all of my questions and she provided me with essential information for my skincare. We decided to use JEUVEAU and that was certainly the right choice. I could see the results that day and they lasted longer than when I’ve used other products in the past.

Dr. Lupo has been taking care of my skin for years. When I was a teenager she cured my acne and got rid of all of my scars. Now that I am 47 (quickly approaching 48) she keeps me looking refreshed and feeling confident about my appearance. She does a phenomenal job of explaining treatment options and her service delivery is second to none. For the last few years she has helped me turn back the hands of time by using neuromodulators, prescription retinols, as well as suggesting the appropriate skin care products. As a physician, I want to say Dr. Lupo is fantastic. There’s simply no one better at injectables and fillers. She’s also treated a traumatic scar of mine with steroid injection followed by Fraxel laser and it’s dramatically improved after only two treatments. I only wish I’d gone to her sooner. She takes the time to listen to what your goals are, and is basically an artist. I didn’t even know all the different types of things fillers could be used for and was slightly hesitant to try at first because you see people who have gone overboard with it, but now I listen to whatever she says. She does an absolutely phenomenal job. In her words “the only bad filler is the filler you see.” She somehow knows exactly how to make you look better. I could not be happier with my experience and the amazing results I’ve gotten, and trust whatever her recommendations are. I cannot imagine going to anyone else.

After suffering from acute rosacea and rhinophyma for more than a decade, I finally discovered Dr. Lupo in 2014. What has transpired since then is nothing short of life changing. Every previous dermatologist (and I've seen dozens) couldn't figure out how to help me and played around the edges of treatment. Dr. Lupo is the best. I have been a patient of hers for years. I see her as an aging adult for cosmetic reasons. She treats my face in a way of long-term preventative maintenance as it relates to aging - for an overall natural look. From my first appointment she knew what muscles I was using the most and why, and what we needed to address first. She continues to switch things up to address all of the muscles in my face and neck. Now, when I tell people my age, they look at me shocked and say no way!...you don’t even look like one of those people who’s had a bunch of work done. I hear it all of the time. 10?? The Phenomenal Dr. Mary Lupo, in my opinion, is a renowned Dermatologist, the very best in the NOLA area!!! I first met Dr. Lupo in 2007 when she discovered my WBC was high after an extensive exam she performed, ultimately, resulting in my Lupus diagnosis. Because of her genuine compassion, care, and concern for the wellbeing of her patients, Dr. Lupo saved my life!!! There will never be another Dermatologist I will prefer to seek out in this life time for any Dermatology service!!! She makes me feel warm and safe in her care!!! She treats me like an extension to her family at every visit!!! Dr. Lupo’s office personal have never lacked in being so warm and inviting, All of the ladies provide the extreme best service experience. Ms. Jerry is 1 of her Office personals who is always more than willing to accommodate your every need, and her Office Manager, who has been apart of the staff for over 10 years, ensures that your experience visit is memorable!!!

For anyone questioning whether or not to try Injections because you feel like you look tired and run down, but you don’t want to end up looking fake, look no further than Dr. Mary Lupo! There is no one I trust more with enhancing my look naturally than her. I use to be afraid of needles and the thought of being injected. But something about her technique and use of distraction therapy keeps me at ease and I literally feel NO pain. I recently came in for my routine Visit with her (to make me look refreshed for the holidays) and had asked her opinion about lip fillers-not to make them Bigger but rejuvenated and to even out my shape. I always heard that lips hurt so bad and people bruise. She gave me her opinion on what I should do if I ever wanted to try it. She picked up on all of the little things I would notice about my lips instantly so I couldn’t resist but to try it. They hadn’t numbed my lips at all, and let me tell you, I was shocked at how painless It was!

Fabulous physician with great staff. Whether for cosmetic or medical purposes, absolutely the best. My husband loves that I look great but never “done”. Totally trust her to recommend the right procedure or filler, and they do their best to use coupons or promotions to save you money whenever possible. Not the cheapest, but when you look in the mirror and you see the results of her expertise looking back at you, you are glad to have chosen her. Medically unbelievably thorough from catching early skin cancers to following up after freezing a spot to make sure it’s gone. You never feel rushed by her or her staff, and they do their best to run on time. As a patient of several years who has seen Dr. Lupo for both medical and cosmetic services, it is hard to say all the great things about her and her staff!
