Dr. Mary Gurney, DO

My daughter recently saw Ms. Gurney and was excited for the visit after doing research to find a good dermatologist. Ms. Gurney did not review my daughters history before coming into the room. She came in already with a plan to use retinol which if she had reviewed my daughters history would have seen that she had an allergic reaction to. When my daughter tried to explain the reaction and show her a picture, Ms. Gurney seemed very irritated and continued with her original plan to prescribe retinol. Ms. Gurney talked the entire short visit and at the end escorted us to the check out desk to pay. She never asked if we have any questions or gave us the opportunity to ask questions. I have been in healthcare for over 30 years and have never seen a practitioner not let a patient ask questions.

I have seen Mary Gurney for several years and have been extremely happy with her diagnosis and treatment of varied dermatological issues. I have also sent friends and family to her. She is friendly and easy to talk to. Her office is a little difficult to get to but I prefer to see someone I trust over location. I highly recommend Mary Gurney for a top notch dermatologist!

I have been going to Saginaw Dermatology/Marey-Esther Gurney for the last two years or so and absolutely love her and their office staff. They are amazing to work with and super friendly. I was diagnosed with a zero stage melanoma on my arm and have been seeing her every three months since then and have never had a bad experience. Mary Gurney and the rest of the staff at Saginaw Dermatology are AMAZING!

Both friendly and professional, Mary-Esther Gurney has excellent bedside manner. Though quite knowledgable, she gives just the right amount of information to her patient. She enjoys her work and provides gentle, personal care. I look forward to seeing her each year for my annual dermatology appointment.

Mrs. Gurney took the time prior to the surgery to describe the procedure and what to expect, and helped allay any fears or concerns that I had. She did an excellent job and the surgical site is healing nicely. I highly recommend Mrs. Gurney to anyone who is looking for a dermatological provider!
