Doctor who cares
I broke my tibia and fibula and had surgery with a rod inserted in my leg, a plate and 8 screws. Dr. Gilmer is phenomenal. Her bedside manner is unlike any other doctor I've seen. She listens to questions and answers thoroughly. She also tells you everything you need to know. She never rushes, and you feel like you're her only patient. She's extremely friendly and loves what she does. Her nurse is fantastic with returning calls and helping in any way she can. I highly recommend Dr. Mary Gilmer.

Very caring and thorough. Identified and has been treating what has become a very difficult tendon injury. Takes time to listen to all of my concerns and doesn't just rush to her next patient. Very pleased with the care I've recieved!

Dr. Gilmer missed a very easy diagnosis - it was extremely obvious from the initial radiographs. Padded up the bill with lots of unnecessary diagnostics including an MRI that was absolutely not needed. Never did a weighted foot x ray which is the standard of care for my symptoms. Go elsewhere for your foot pain.

Said you should make appt earlier, sarcastic!! Left at 11:45!! Don't know why make an appointment plus I felt like they were being prejudice!

My son saw Dr. Gilmer during her office’s Urgent Care hours. Which by the way, a dedicated Ortho Urgent Care clinic is fantastic for student athletes. We had zero wait time, X-rays performed while I finished paperwork and results within minutes. She spent a long time explaining the injury and how it would effect his ability to participate in sports. Her treatment plan focused on his recovery first but also took into account his competitive goals. We could not of been happier!

I had total knee replacement 4/15/2016. Had issues from time I woke up in recovery. Severe pain. Went to see her several times. I have horrible scar tissue that was not addressed when something could have been done about it.She finally admitted after 1 1/2 years that she did not know what was wrong.I would tell anyone never to use her. After about 6 months when she did not know what was wrong she made you feel like it was me. Thanks to her I now have to have another total replacement.Loss of wk.

Dr.Gilmer is an amazing surgeon. Her knowledge of new technology and applying them to her patients with the confidence and expertise is truly a talent. She takes time to listen to her patient and putting them at ease with being confident in her ability. She goes above and beyond for her patient and continues to follow up with kindness and calmness that is not learned but natural for her. She truly cares. The staff is punctual and kind and always on time. I wish all the surgeons where like her.
