I learned more about my eye condition in one visit with Dr. File than after 18 years with my previous ophthalmologist. She is kind, patient, and explains everything very well. She takes the time to listen to you. When calling the office to ask a question, she calls you back directly instead of your questions going through the office staff. (No offense to office staffs!) I completely trust her with my eye care. And she is definitely a dynamo! Would highly recommend Dr. File.

Mary File was my ophthalmologist for about 30 years. If I hadn’t moved out of state several years ago I would definitely still be a patient. She may not have state of the art equipment but she is the best!

Have been a patient for more than 30 years. Exams are thorough and Dr. File listens; have never felt rushed. I've had two urgent issues and was worked in immediately. Her communication is excellent and she follows up the next day after treating an acute condition. Each visit ends with a summary of the current visit, review of meds/ treatments, and timeframe for the next visit.

Dr. Mary File's office reviewed and copied my insurance card, but never mentioned that they did not accept my coverage by United Health Care or Medicare. Six months after she provided an exam, and after I had another scheduled appointment, I received a bill for the full amount of the office visit. On the invoice, she indicated that they did not accept coverage by Medicare or United Health Care. Complete. On my visit in September 2019, she indicated that my coverage had changed, which it had not. I asked why she asked and what that meant and it wasn't until after I asked specifically if she accepted my insurance that I was advised, she did not. Again, I presented my card and it wasn't until after my questions that I left the appt. This was deceiving. Had I not questioned her several times, I would have been presented with a full bill for services again. I am not sure why after more than 6 months and after another appt was scheduled, that this was mentioned. Deceptive.

Very thorough exam. Explained all findings and left feeling comfortable in plan of care. Told to call right away with change in vision and confident she will work me in same day.
