Dr. Miller is the most outstanding Dermatologist I have ever gone to see. I started out as a 15 year old, going to a Dermatologist for acné Scarlett Prevention-Dr. Robert Melnikoff, à San José, ÇA, Derm., who is now retired. At 20 yrs old, I was a Senior RN student-I saw a px of a malignant melanoma and knew that the black, raised, irrégularly shaped mole on my right anterior upper thigh was a melanoma. Dr. Melnikoff removed it 3 times, or down to the third level (bone) each time only using a local subq lidocaine. Today, as a former CCU/ICU RN, an Assistant Head Nurse/In Care Charge Nurse on a busy Med/surg/orthopedic/rehab. Unit, in care charge nurse, a charge RN in a Judy Med/Surg ICU with critically ill post-suegical, including post-Surgical craniotomy patients with intra-cranialvdrains and Brain pressure monitoring systems and critically ill Med/surg patients, also as a Rapid Response RN and Conscious Sédation RN, today that procédure would have been performed at an outpatient Clinic or one annexed to an acute care ER, with conscious sédation providence. That’s first of all; secondly, he had no nurse or attendant present with him to assist him or to providence Comfort to me. Dr. Melnikoff’s response r’ to me when I started to get softly was to say: »Oh, stop crying, it’s not that bad ». Oh really? Not only is it « Not that bad »-he képi on fldissecting down while he said that and then said, »By the way, just taking this down to the third level (to the though bone) alone gets you a give year survival rate. But your (inguinal) lymph nodes are enlarhed-we could take those out now, and if they come back positive, you’ll have about six months to live ». I wanted to call him « Dr. Hellnikoff », but bit my tongue. When my son Brian was a Freshman at Hollister High School, he was being teased a lot because he had a dark mole on his right middle cheek and was being teased a lot for it. I took him to see Dr. M. Miller, knowing that Dr. Miller is gentle, kind, knows his « Dermatology » superflu and expertly and is a highly skilled surgeon. He very carefully and clearly explained to Brian that Brian would need to come see him 4-6 times so that he could very carefully slice a thin layer of skin off and then it would need to be completely be healed or scarred over before he suaves it off again. Brian’s response was « Cool! ». It, the sharing procédure, went great, with Brian being confortable and at ease AND, it turned out great-Brian is 38 years old and still has a slightly visible, tiny scar in the middle of his right cheek. So, if you can do a superb job treating a very critical 15 year old boy, with fabulous results that culminante in that teenager, who is now an equally critical adult, you are a « Rock Star Dermatologist »! Dr. Miller also has a great sense of humor: the exam/treatment room where Brian had his mole removed has the bottomside of several ducks swimmingcacross the ceiling, as if you were in a river or pond under earth the ducks, looking up at them. Brian enjoyed being in that room with something fun to distract him from what can be otherwise a scarry procédure. For myself, Dr. Miller has been my annual Melanoma Surgical « checker »-he can tell just by looking with a high powered magnifier, if a mole or skin discôoration is a Malig. Melanoma, a « Basil Cell Carcinoma, a « Keratosis » of dôme kind, a « Lipoma »…etc.-and he is always correct when compares to the pathology résultas. Just recently, he wrote, « At this time, Yvonne is considered cured of Melanoma ». ????Praise God and Dr. Miller! ??????????????, Yvonne Marie Hack, ADN, BSN, STTI (Albany, New York Chapter, reste representing Excelsior College).

Even at this late date, I am still coming to terms with the way in which Dr. Miller treated me. I had no idea how damaging the destruction of the doctor-patient relationship would be. To have a care-giver, with whom you are vulnerable and asking for help, turn on you in anger is truly horrifying. Dr. Miller seems medically competent - he may even be medically excellent. But I believe that the negative impact of how he treated me personally has far outweighed any dermatological benefit I gained in seeing him. I sincerely hope that I am alone in this experience, and that his other patients have constructive and healing experiences with him. I continue to work to heal from my experience, and to regain my trust in the medical establishment.

Excellent diagnostician.
I heard of Dr Miller from a client who took her elderly mother to Dr Miller for a persistent rash that 3 other doctors could not resolve., yet he had diagnosed and resolved promptly. I too had broken out in an itchy, painful rash that an urgent care had diagnosed as shingles. Dr Miller took one look at me and said I had mite bites from gardening and that I was highly allergic. He noticed that I didn’t have insurance , and sent me with enough of a very expensive ointment to treat the issue . He said well you’re here.. Do you have melanoma on either side of your family? I said both. So he did a cancer check while I was there . THATS THOROUGH! He’s busy , yet squeezed me in on an emergency twice. His staff is excellent, and I like that they are not selling beauty products like other derm offices - just treating skin issues.

If you expect a consultation that goes both ways, one in which the doctor listens and cares about your questions, DO NOT consider doctor Miller. He rumbles non-stop (probably a method to make the visit short and profitable), does not consult before performing a procedure and then bills you! Horrible experience!!

Made me take my face mask & face shield off, he was not wearing a mask, he was accusatory, I am 92 and he threw my cane on the floor, I don’t know how clean the floor was but I am trying to be safe with Covid precautions. He did nothing to help my symptoms from shingles which is why I went in for an office visit.

Dr. Miller is a great doctor. He knows his business. He fixed a skin problem i had been battling for 2 years. My general practitioner and other doctors could not resolve my problem thru lab work or any other means....Dr. Miller knew what it was in 30 seconds and within 30 days there was no trace of a problem on my hands and my foot was making new skin....

I came to Dr. Miller while I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I had pregnancy acne. There are almost none safe treatments out there for pregnant women except for Isolaz. I came to Dr. Miller about 8 months ago. Our first visit was the initial intake he examined my skin ( face), listened carefully to my concerns and questions. I wanted good results but a safe treatment I would only agree if it was safe for my baby. After discussion we decided Isolaz was the way to go. I saw results after 2 months.
