New Patient Nightmare
This office over books appointments. I waited over an hour and a half and still did not see the physician . If you are retired and have all the time in the world to wait! This is the place for you. I ended up leaving. No apologies. They did not care. My time away from work is just as important as this doctors time. Why make appointments in the first place . I will drive out of state if it means this physician is the last Gastro around .

Worst Doctor Experience EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want a COLD and UNCOMPASSIONATE Doctor....well then Dr. Maldonado is for you!!! I recently had to find another gastroenterologist due to my doctor retired. I was referred to this doctor. I had a colonoscopy and Dr. Maldonado confirmed to me that I NEVER want to see him again! He was so cold and non caring the day of my test. He couldn't even spare 5 to 10 minutes of his precious time come to talk to me after my colonoscopy. I laid there waiting to talk to him...he was too busy to come & talk to me...meanwhile all the OTHER gastroenterologists came & talked to their patients after their procedures on that day! It was by far the WORST experience I have ever had by a doctor and I have had many doctors due to my illness.

One of the Best in Gastroenterology
Very kind doctor. He explained very well and even made illustrations of the causes of my medical condition. Gave recommendations of do's and don'ts. He is not in a rush (which is typical of doctors who seem to not want to see their patients). I wished I would have known him sooner.

Reviews Don’t lie!!! GREAT DR :-)
I always research my Dr’s & I think I made a great choice. He cares & when I did my EGD procedure everything went smooth. My throat didn’t feel sore or anything. From reading Reviews or watching YouTube everyone sure is different, I thought it was going to be worse ????. I was fine besides couldn’t hardly walk to my Vehicle after the Anesthesia. “No Complaints” great experiences from the Staff on Both Sides.

Unfortunately this rating for Dr. Maldonado is not the fault of his own, but his incompetent office staff. I've been trying to receive care for several months but his office hasn't been able to obtain my records from my old GI, which seems like it would be a simple task. My old office has faxed the information over to them three times and they still claim it never came through. Due to the lapse of care I've had a flare up resulting in pain and weight loss. I'm also overdue for important tests, and have missed/ been late for doses of my medication which I was warned against upon beginning it. I've called and emailed his office offering to do more on my end but they are unresponsive and unconcerned. I've even asked if I'm wasting my time and should seek care elsewhere but never got a reply. My mother was in the medical field for over 20 years. I'm not one to leave nasty reviews, and I try to see these situations through an empathetic lens, but at some point negligence can't be excused.
