Arrogant
This doctor misdiagnosed my mother. The problem is his arrogance and unwillingness to listen. I accompanied her to several appointments because the family was having concerns regarding her memory. He had absolutely no interest is listening to any of our concerns or information while repeatedly telling me “I repeat, she does not have a memory problem” even telling her she can drive as long as it’s not too far. Not only has she been diagnosed with mild dementia - she was also told she could not drive. She is now being properly treated by her neurologist. I would not take anyone to this doctor. Without question it is time for him to retire.

Dr Martin Janis This doctor will throw you under the bus when as a patient you need his help. He under medicates for serious conditions and this will leave you hurting or in dire straits. When you end up in the emergency room, having called him several days previously for help, he and his office will not return your calls or help you in any way. This is what happened to us. Beware. Don’t let it happen to you. By the way, after the emergency room and admittance to the hospital, his office did return our call — many days later. Too little. Too late.

My parents were recommended to see Dr. Janis. We all regret it. While he is personable, he is not nearly as good as he believes and portrays himself to be. If you are ok waiting 4 days, in an emergency situation, for him to get back with you, then by all means choose him. I wouldn't refer him to an enemy.

I was recommended to see this doctor after turning 65. There are not a lot of Geriatricians in the area so I was happy to find him. Not only was he very patient with listening to my every concern, he also took the time to really exam me from head to toe instead of trying to diagnose me without even touching me. His staff also called me the next day with my lab results and instructions on what next steps needed to be taken. I recommend Dr. Janis to any and everyone who misses having quality care.

As a new patient with memory problems after a brain aneurysm, Dr. Janis never requested my previous medical records. It almost cost my life. I think it is time for him to retire.
