No Human contact on phone calls
The phone communication is really bad. When you call there is no one to talk to, you are forced to leave a voice mail. Yesterday I called at 12:03 pm and a human came on. Get this she was the answering service and I asked if I could leave a message and she says 'They would prefer that you do not leave a message!'. Really.. a answering service that will not take a message!

I live 4 hours away from grand rapids. I was referred to him for a lip/tongue tie for my 3 month old son. The whole experience was awful. I was given a days notice to come in. I didnt care as my baby had been struggling so much to eat. I packed up my kids and made it to the appt. When I first got there I was told "let me make sure he still has time to see you" after explaining my concerns and issues with my son. (I had previously met with his pediatrician and a lactation consultant who both advised I got his lip tip clipped) dr winkle told me "some babys are not mature enough to breastfeed" he said "its worth considering to give up" and he told me if he clipped his lip tie it would not help him at all. He said he didnt know why doctors were referring kids to him for a lip tie as nothing he does will help. I told him to clio his lip tie anyways. My baby could nurse and take a bottle perfectly fine afterwards. Despite dr winkle being extreming discouraging and disrespectful I got what I

I do believe Dr. Winkle is knowledgeable about his discipline. The front office is the primary concern. Getting a call back, scheduling on time, assistance with their paperwork or insurance borders on unprofessional. The issue seems to be systemic across the front office. I think the other reviewers articulate it well.

I would not recommend Dr Winkle to ANYONE. I have seen him multiple times and each time I felt like he rushed my appointment, had no care or concern for my health issues and barely gave me enough information to ask questions. Every time I call his office (even in an emergency situation) it takes over 24 hours or more to get a call back. I had mild acid reflux, he barely asked me any questions about it and prescribed me a heavy medication to deal with the symptoms that caused me to vomit blood. I called his office with my concern and never got a call back. I have never been picky about the doctors I see but I plan to find a new doctor asap and would suggest others do the same.

Terrible experience. He was nice enough, however, the order his office was supposed to send never was and calling three times did not solve the problem. Many excuses for the incompetence. If you have a serious medical condition don't waste your time here.

He is amazing. He's very caring. He removed my thyroid and was there the next morning to check in on me.

He didn't believe I had a sinus infection until I begged for a CT scan. He said it was probably just headaches and that I would have to go to a pain clinic. The CT scan showed a sinus infection and I ended up having sinus surgery. Now, I'm infected again, but he has terminated me as a patient because I owe him $85. I wasn't given a chance to pay the $85, I was just refused to be seen. He's all about the money, not the patient.

I would not recommend Dr. Winkle due to his apathy towards me and clear attention to the clock and moving on. He did not spend more than a minute answering my questions and offered me little to no information on what to do about my situation. He is an expert at pretending to smile and be pleasant, while offering no solutions to my predicament. It seems he didn't have the time or interest.
