Gallbladder removal
Dr. Mark Wilkiemeyer is an exceptionally skilled surgeon. He recently performed my gallbladder removal surgery. From start to finish, he was professional, compassionate, and clearly knowledgeable. He explained the procedure in a way that made me feel confident and at ease. I am incredibly thankful to have been under his care. He personally called me post surgery to give updates and made sure I was good. If you’re looking for a surgeon who combines top-tier surgical skill with a caring bedside manner, I highly recommend Dr. Wilkiemeyer.

Incredible Surgeon and Practice
Dr. Mark Wilkiemeyer and staff were fantastic. Can't say enough great things. From the first phone call in late August to surgery on Sept 28, 2022 - only about 4 weeks, which included, scans, tests, and his personal referral to accelerate a diagnostic endoscopy with Atlanta Gastro (a great experience with that practice). I'm deeply grateful to have had a referral from one of Dr. Wilkiemeyer's surgery colleagues. Dr. Mark was incredibly attentive leading up to my surgery, calling me twice to provide test results and reassurance. He and his staff answered all of my questions clearly, facilitated all the necessary next steps, and made me 1000% percent ready to move forward. My recovery was as expected and went exactly to plan. I'm experiencing a renewed peace of mind with the surgery complete and prognosis excellent. I'm blessed to have Dr. Wilkiemeyer as my surgeon, PA Laura to assist, and the attentive staff of his practice handle my case. Simply amazing. Mark T.

Fantastic Doctor and Office
Dr. Wilkiemeyer repaired 3 hernias for me. He was extremely through and showed genuine care for me as a patient. He spent a lot of time answering my questions and I never felt rushed. The staff in the office are very friendly and helpful. I saw Laura the PA on my follow up and had a great experience with her also. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Wilkiemeyer removed my gallbladder. He was very communicative during the pre-op visit and my post-op pain level was minimal, no pain meds needed. I felt good enough to return to my work from home job after recovering over the weekend. He is an extraordinary surgeon and I highly recommend him.

DR. WILKIEMEYER SAVED MY LIFE! I went in for a routine gallbladder removal and he discovered an unidentified mass. He did not poke at it or biopsy it, closed me up, ordered a CT scan and immediately referred me to a colleague who specializes in liver. The second surgeon said thank god that he did that or it could have spread. I wholeheartedly recommend him. He takes the time, has an excellent bedside manner, and returns calls personally asap. I LOVE HIM!!!!

Dr wilkiemeyer was recommended to me by a friend. He was very kind and explained the gallbladder surgery very well. He knew I was very nervous because of some bad experiences with opioids that were used in previous surgeries. he and his staff made me feel very comfortable and I sure appreciate it.

I had laparoscopic bilateral inguinal hernia repairs done by Dr. Wilkiemeyer two weeks ago. His professionalism and bedside manner could not have been any better. On my first visit he spent time examining me and discussing hernias. He then explainined all of the options to fix them and gave me his recommendation on which technique he felt would be best. Surgery went smoothly and I was pain free in about five days. I wouldn't hesitate having Dr. Wilkiemeyer perform surgery on me again

Dr. Wilkiemeyer is one of the most amazing physicians and human beings I have ever met. He is not only a knowledgeable, skilled surgeon but he has the people skills that set him apart. When I was at my worst, he was a force of steady calm, expertise and care for which I and my family are incredibly grateful. I truly cannot say enough good things about this doctor.

It had been suggested to consult with Dr Wilkiemeyer about possible surgery for a hiatil hernia which was giving me problems. After scheduling an appointment with his office, I went for my so-called consultation. After waiting for an hour and fourty minutes beyond my scheduled time I was put in a room where I waited an additional fourty minutes. When he came in he took an additional ten minutes to read over my chart, said I needed an upper GI and left. I had the GI weeks ago never heard a result

Dr Wilkiemeyer is the Best I honestly can say that Dr Wilkiemeyer has to be one of the very best surgeons in the Atlanta area. I few years ago I had a colon issue that took 6 months for several other doctors to figure out the problem. Dr Wilkiemeyer reviewed my records, images, etc. and figured out the issue (fistula between large and small intestines). He successfully performed the very complicated surgery and I had no issues at all. All the hospital staff raved about him.

I highly recommend Dr. Wilkiemeyer for inguinal surgery! I looked hard before choosing him and I it was worth the work as he is a great surgeon and doctor! He helped answer all questions, risks and potential side-effects. Laparoscopic surgery went very well(mesh). Not even the need to take antibiotics. I got off the Norco pain killers the same day of surgery and got off ibuprofen the next day. I was able to walk the same day of surgery and 1 week later I feel normal again. Top work!
