Arrogant “Know it All” Attitude.
I am a 75 year old male. I experienced mild chest pain and saw Dr. Thel. He told me he didn’t think it was my heart but still ordered expensive test. During my initial visit he was short with me but I thought he had more serious cases to deal with. During my next 5 minute visit, to get the test results, he was again short with me and this time insulted me about the supplements that I was taking. When I tried to explain my reasons for taking them he cut me off and stated that he was the professional and should know what was good to take or not. In my opinion he is an arrogant person who thinks he knows everything about every field of medicine and cares more about supporting the system than he cares about patients. I have ask for my records to be sent to a different Dr. who works at the Chattanooga Heart and Rhythm Center.
