Dismissive
He's very rough for starters. My IUD placement was so painful... my last doctor didn't hurt me. His pelvic exams also hurt really bad and no one else's did... I saw him with a mo/di pregnancy and he said he was doing me a "favor" and delaying sending me to high risk for a pregnancy that is known to automatically be high risk... I was going 4 to 5 weeks between appts with identical twins. Shouldn't have ever happened. I ended up losing one of the babies in my 2nd trimester during the longest stretch of in between he gave me. He wasn't very compassionate and seemingly acted like I should have known something was wrong. Which I did but he always said everything was fine and dismissed me. It seemed we did what was convenient for him and not what was best for me and babies.

Dr. Steele was extremely dismissive and patronizing when I asked to have my hormones retested due to signs of early menopause. He said there was no way I was going through an “early change” because at 32, I was too young. He reluctantly agreed to test and had to eat his words because my levels WERE menopausal. I will never visit this doctor or practice again. I felt very disrespected by the lack of importance he placed on my symptoms, thinking instead only about my age.
