Dr. Salama treated my daughter who is seven years old and her name is Jessie Geyer. He didn’t really explain much to me that we were sent to him to rule out septic knee. He told me the test came back negative for septic and that she just had a flu like virus in her knee. He told me to treat her with Motrin and it should last for 3 to 4 days. Two days later my daughter suddenly went into shock and died right before our eyes! They were saying it was an undetermined cause of death. I pushed for the CDC to get involved and they told me they probably not find out what killed her and it would take months. Three weeks later I got a call from the CDC and she died from septic syndrome. When I looked at the medical records her blood tests were not normal and he never did a culture to rule it out. No antibiotics were prescribed and he failed and lied about his treatment. This was clear medical negligence and I wasn’t able to hold him accountable because of the MICRA law.
