Dr. Mark Shiu, DO

They are all about money because they don’t seem to actually care about you health. This place sucks and I’ll have to contact my insurance to get a new primary but honestly I don’t want to pay this place a dime

I have been a patient of Dr. Shiu for many years. However, due to the way I've been treated on my recent visits over the past two and a half years, I am now looking for another doctor. His staff is not only rude, condescending and abrupt, they display a "couldn't care less" attitude, both in person and on over the phone. This is unfortunate, as Dr. Shiu used to be a professional and caring doctor. During my last visit, I waited well over an hour in the waiting room, and an additional 30-40 minutes in the room waiting. When he did come in, he spent less than 2-3 minutes with me, didn't inquire further about the symptoms I described to the medical assistant and wanted to discuss with Dr. Shiu and just went and wrote orders for tests without actually listening to the symptoms I was trying to describe. I can no longer count the number of times where I have been left with a rapid pulse, chest pains and practically in tears because of how stressed his office makes me.

I have had Dr Shiu for close to 13 years and when I was referred to him by another Dr because my insurance had changed I was so scared and unsure. Needless to say I truly love him as my Dr. he has seen me through 5 major surgeries and countless health issues that has affected my life. When I felt like my life was pretty much over and there was not a great way through what I was facing he talked and walked me through the rough patches. I have never had a Dr that personally cares for his Patients on such a high level. When you call after hours he returns your call. I could go on and on but if you are looking for a Dr I can tell you that he is AMAZING. And I feel Blessed to have him over the care of my life. Thank You Dr Shui. Pennie Weaver

I find him to be professional, timely, knowledgeable and approachable. He saved my life by going beyond in his medical services to me. Without him I would be dead. I am not exaggerating. I have been a patient since 2016, Dr. Shiu is one of the most compassionate doctors I have experienced in a long time. Although he has many of patients he takes the time to review healthcare information and verifies that you understand it and more than willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have . He has a very good memory and he recalls different issues that I have pointed out to him in regards to my health. He has been nothing but professional Maintaining a very caring approach. Office is neat and clean with excellent staff. ??????????

I really liked Dr Shiu, he listened when many doctors had not over the years. I have left California, temporarily, and have not seen him in the last couple months. I would love to give him 5 stars, however, I felt with one of my last visits, I did not feel as listened to but hope to see him again when I return, have some great updates to tell him about!

Dr. Shui is an awesome person. He genuinely cares about his patients and takes time to answer all questions during a visit. He is friendly and professional.

dr. shiu is compassionate, never rushes you, and listens carefully. he explains things in an easy to understand manner, not so much "doctor speak", and he CARES! we met him when he was doing rounds in the hospital for our regular doctor, who was changing specialites and shedding patients, so timing was good! we were very impressed with dr. shiu. he came to the memorial for my husband who succumbed to cancer shortly after our meeting dr. shiu. it meant a great deal to me that he attended.

This is the best doctor I met. Very professional, he explains everything in detail, has patience you can ask all the questions, no rush he takes his time with the patient. I am so gratfull to have him as a doctor for my family.

I was Referred to Dr Shiu by a another great doctor....This is the doctor everyone should see...thats all I need to say...great staff too ....very happy with my visit :) very knowledgeable and friendly.....
