In September 2021, I went to Dr. Scharf to have several spots removed on my back area. A resident was brought in and informed me she would be observing. He did the first round of treatment, a second round followed. I realized after the second round was complete that the resident had done the treatment without my consent. I was never asked for consent for her to treat or to sign anything regarding her treatment. After several months, there was a scar still left on my side. I contacted Dr. Scharf to relay my concerns. He spoke over me with all kinds of excuses and that he was "heavy handed" on the first round and that he may not have communicated the other doctor’s involvement. I could have further treatments with no guarantee of outcome. He is pompous and barely let me get a word in. My records read as if he did not do any treatment and that I had given consent. That is false. I contacted patient advocacy. From the response received, I wasn't taken seriously & they believed his lies.

I had an appointment with him over the phone, at 11 am this morning, and he didn't listen to a word I've said. Even when he asked me questions, he still didn't/wouldn't let me finish what I was saying. He also spoke at me as if I was some dumb and ignorant child just because I am a woman who is transgender.
