a need for emergency appendectomy
About 9 AM I went to Urgent Care at the Medical Center in Dublin, GA due to pain in my lower right stomach. Dr. Samson was on duty and was able to tell by the pain location and Lab work that I probably was having an appendicitis. He sent me directly to the Emergency Room at Fairview Park Hospital with orders for a CT scan. He even called the ER doctor, Dr Mark Johnson, to let him know my wife and I were on the way over. His diagnosis was correct because the CT scan showed that my appendix was inflamed. Dr Johnson called Dr Michael Blaney, who was in surgery that day and was able to work me into his schedule. He had my appendix out by the end of the day and had me stay overnight for observation. I checked out by 11 AM the next day. I thank everyone involved for saving my life.

Very poor attitude
Dr Samson strikes me as very competent but there's far more to practicing medicine than just being highly intelligent. His competency is why I started going to him, but he lost all credibility the last time I had an appointment when he just seemed to be in a bad mood and acted highly unprofessional. You might get away with that working at 7/11 but not being a medical doctor. Judging by the other reviews I'm not the only one to notice this. People's lives are in your hands sir. We come to you for guidance and reassurance, not to be talked to like a petulant child. Please shape up.

Dr. Samson was dismissive and didn't seem to hear anything I was saying. He more or less told me that my pain and extreme fatigue was just something I'd have to learn to live with and there wasn't much he could really do, and how about an antidepressant? Like that will make everything better. I've been down that road. I'm depressed due to almost constant pain and exhaustion. If he didn't know how to help me, how about referring me to a doc who might be able to? It wasn't the fact that he didn't listen or didn't seem to really care as much as the fact that he made me feel like my pain and exhaustion is all in my head. I didn't lose my career because I like feeling this way. I went to Dr. Samson for help and walked out of there so angry I could have spit nails. Complete waste of my time and his. Maybe he should devote his time to research and not dealing with actual people (or women because we all know how hysterical we are).

I have been a patient of Dr. Samson for the past nine years and have found him to be caring, thorough, knowledgeable and very competent as a physician. I am thankful to have a primary care physician with these attributes. When moving to this area he was recommended by one of his patient whom I have thanked on many occasions. I recommend Dr. Samson without reservation! (This review is coming from a physician who has practiced primary care for over 40 years.)

So completely disturbed by his attitude. With many medical issues unfortunately the last thing I need is a "physician" who is rude and inconsiderate. All the talking I did and he heard nothing only complained about having other patients and me needing to hurry up. Why become a doctor? Why work in a facility like this? He is awful. The very thought of him being the person I need to put my health in the hands of makes me sick to my stomach. I refuse to remain a patient of this jerks.
