DO NOT TRUST THIS DR!!!
This “doctor” is dangerous. He told us our daughter was faking her vision issues after spending a total of five minutes with her. He was unbelievably condescending and terribly mean. Refused to order an MRI even though she had almost constant debilitating headaches and vision fluctuations, which were verified by her teachers and the school nurse. She ended up having a congenital brain abnormality where time was of the essence in obtaining treatment to stop its progression. Salevitz humiliated my daughter, and because of his refusal to order appropriate testing, my daughter suffered unbearable pain longer than she needed to. We also wonder if some of her lasting symptoms could have been prevented had she been treated in a timely manner.

The 5 star reviews are definitely not accurate. Why? Bedside manner. Don't let him perceive you questioning/crossing him or you'll experience total narcissist behavior. I feel sorry for the rest of his department, they all seem like good docs.

Dr. Salevitz is amazing! My daughter has been seen by his practice since 2005. He is funny, compassionate, and informed. He has a wonderful bedside manner with my child and his office staff are friendly and professional. He recently performed a surgical procedure to correct my daughters strabismus and he ensured she was comfortable throughout the entire process! It was the easiest most stress free surgical experience we have ever had! I highly recommend Dr. Salevitz.

Dr Salevitz has been treating my son since he was about 1 year old. He has performed 2 eye surgeries on him. We always have a great experience when we go in for our appointments. My son now sees Dr Salevitz once a year and we've never had a bad experience with him!!! We love Dr Salevtiz!!!

What a horrible little person. He was rude, sarcastic, impatient, and left my teenage son in tears, with his self esteem plummeting. This man is downright abusive and I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Salevitz was amazing and funny. We took our 9 month old to see him because we had some concerns. Ended up being nothing but he had me and my husband laughing the entire time, even though our baby cried the entire time. He eased our worries and didn't make us feel like we were overreacting. Only complaint is the front office person who gives you paperwork was super rude and not friendly at all.

Horrible staff. Poor scheduling with urgent matters. They won't let me know if my daughters insurance papers are correct , but the said if they aren't I have to pay cash. Her apt is in 2 weeks called today to find out about insurance papers and got hung up on. So now I get to drive over an hr away to Scottsdale before I find out if the insurance forms are correct. There's more and not enough space for everything.

We have been taking our son to Dr.Salevitz for the past 7 years. He has strabismus and had to have two surgeries to tighten the muscles. Dr. Salevitz has always been caring, informative and very professional. He always made sure that my son did not need to be seen or have surgery unless it was absolutely necessary. Thanks to him staying on top of everything over the years, our son still has perfect vision. He also made sure that any staff working with him is held accountable and at their best.

We went to Dr. Salevitz only a handful of times. But every visit was full of frustration. Our first visit was hard due to my child being very afraid of strangers and Dr Salevitz was not very understanding. But I took my child back with hope for better. Again, not understanding to my child and very negative towards me about Childs patching. I literally ended up in tears. Last visit he told me it was time to be mean mom. Found new doctor in same group. No one ever cried. No one was mean.
