BEST trauma surgeon!
Dr. Munro put my husband back together after he was hit by a vehicle in 2006. Over 18 fractures on one arm. There was a possibility of amputation, however Dr. Munro persevered and was able to save his arm and shoulder. Last year he had both hips replaced, within three months. Absolutely amazing experiences each time! Thank you Dr. Munro!

Excellent Surgeon!!
Dr Munro’s work was excellent in my case (hip replacement) which I attribute to a recovery that was quick and easy. If you need a hip replacement Dr Munro is the man.

Top notch surgeon for sure! hip anterior approach
Left Hip Replacement anterior approach From the first meeting, Dr. Munro was very informative, very decisive and put me at ease with the surgery. After the surgery, he continue to be observant, as well as informative. He answered all my questions and concerns, and even after surgery he spent a few minutes with me although he had another case that he was about to do, can’t say enough about his performance Knowledge and skill

A surgery for a broken femur was performed on my fiance 6 months ago. He still goes to therapy, has to use walker & cane. He limps & still deals with pain. He can't even sleep in bed so he sleeps on his recliner due to the pressure which causes pain & discomfort. He had knee replacement yrs ago & now the knee is hurting on the same leg of the surgery. I hear him moan at night when he tosses & turns trying to find a spot to be comfortable; then ends up on the recliner. 6 month, 1/2 a yr & no sign of relief. Nah I wouldn't recommend him.

To start I must say that all doctors are human and fallible. To expect perfection from every doctor and for them to be mind readers and to give every patient exactly what they want/need is unrealistic, irrational and self-centered. That said, I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Munro, his staff and the nursing support staff at the ORMC orthopedic recovery unit. I could not hope or expect for much more out of any doctor. Dr. Munro is an excellent surgeon and brilliant doctor. It is clearly obvious that he has an excellent understanding of medicine, human physiology and medical technology. He is very personable, friendly easy to talk to, and willing to answer all (pertinent) questions. The same goes for his PA Michalene and all his nursing staff. I feel very fortunate to have found him and to have had him as my surgeon for my knee replacement last year. While my surgeries and recovery could have gone better I have to acknowledge that my knee was severely deteriorated.

Excellent doctor but impossible to get in for follow ups after surgery if you have a problem. His scheduling staff does not seem to understand that when you are in unacceptable pain 10 weeks post surgery, you want to see him sooner than 3 weeks out. He seems to be overbooked every day according to them. Unacceptable.

Simply outstanding practice; the ALWAYS kind, patient and reassuring tone of ALL the stsff; from those who answer phones all the way to the highly skilled DR Munro...I cannot think of even the slightest need for any change. My almost 80 year old Mom took a terrible fall and wound up with what is known as a triple-break( hand, forearm and a hideous compound fracture between elbow and shoulder) My ortho is good but Dr Munro and team ARE the gold standard. Bless them all....

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Munro. His technique for hip replacements has been a blessing for me. His office staff and one of the companies that he uses for aftercare and physical therapy, however, leave a lot to be desired. They are horrible, rude, condescending and patronizing. I'm glad that I got them removed from my care. Make sure that you have your own choice for aftercare lined up before your surgery.

Great Orthopedist... had one total hip replacement Oct 2015 and the other one Sept 2016 (11 months later) and I already forgot what it feels like to have pain. Walking without pain. Still careful when walking because steadiness takes a little longer than pain to be gone. Flew halfway across the world 2 mos after both procedures and I used no canes. Elated with Dr Munro's work. 2nd one I volunteered to have it done ASAP, as ai knew I was on good hands. Recommend with eyes closed.
