I would, without reservation, recommend Dr. Maxwell to someone looking for a PCP in Tucson. love Dr. Maxwell. He has been my PCP for nearly 20 years. My husband and 4 sons (two with developmental disabilities) have Dr. Maxwell as their PCP as well. What I like about him most is that he treats me like a person, not just a patient. He is the only physician who was able to help me resolve my issues with back pain.

Dr. Maxwell has been my physician for many years and has helped me navigate complex health problems. He is a bright and knowledgeable doctor, and when things are difficult he is empathetic, encouraging and supportive. He always makes me feel like I matter. I can’t imagine a better advocate or a kinder doctor. I’m so grateful he is my practitioner. Tucson is blessed that we have him.

Dr. Maxwell has been my primary care physician for over 20 years and I credit him with saving my life; he acted fast on a suspected skin cancer and it turned out to be melanoma. Nineteen years later, I'm still here! :) He's not only smart - he's personable, caring and an excellent advocate (helping my husband through a cancer diagnosis now). I have only good things to say about Dr. Maxwell and I recommend him without hesitation.

Front office is is inefficient. There is miscommunication among here. First I received a call from a lab for tests, not knowing what it was for and was in shock that Dr. Maxwell's staff hadn't let me know up front. So, it came as a shock. I should have been notified by the staff. Then, I receive three calls from for Dr. Maxwell's office in two day period I have to go for lab testing. This is not the way an office should be informing a patient hearing from the lab, rather the office. Trust issue now and the effective in communicating has left a poor taste in my mouth how they function

While I was a patient I had no complaints. He's a great doctor. Then one day out of the blue I can't get any response to my refill requests. I had to call them directly to find out I had been "dismissed", meaning they wouldn't see me any more. Apparently no shows are tracked over the entire length of you time as a patient. He has a right not to see me but it would have been nice to at least give me a partial refill to cover me while I look for another doctor. It feels almost personal.

Very pleasant, excellent bedside manner and very punctual. Good listener who can read your concern level and will spend extra time counseling/ordering extra tests to mitigate your worries. Best part...his punctuality. You can go for a 3PM appointment and you will be called on time for the initial checkup and get to see the doctor in under 10 minutes. Amazing!!!

I've contacted Dr Maxwell office to get a routine preventive care and I had to wait about 3 weeks to be able to see the Dr for a regular checkup. Later, I got 155$ charged by his office due to extra lab work that was done which I didn't ask and somehow it was mistranslated by Dr. Regardless of how many times I call the billing department or his office, they didn't remove the charges that I requested and charge my insurance with different diagnosis code and charge me extra 40! Don't Go There
