Dr. Mark Mandel, MD

Dr Mandel made you extremely comfortable during the entire procedure. He continuously had conversation and walked you through each step which ease the nerves.

This is a review written on behalf of my mom haha. I am also an optometrist (but not affiliated with Dr. Mandel).It's been about 3 weeks since she's had cataract surgery and everyday she has the same amazement in her voice about her eyesight as the first day she came back from surgery. She can see everything far away and up close without glasses, and let me tell you - consider monovision. It's visual freedom!Everytime she brings up her vision, she brings up Dr. Mandel and his staff, who have been nothing short of amazing! She just raves at the attentive and caring staff. They answer all questions and are very responsive to requests. She also loves that Dr. Mandel is a know-it-all without acting like one. He's so down-to-earth! He and his staff also get along like a healthy family, so that was an extra bonus! The procedures went smoothly. Staff were proactive pre- and post- surgery, so nothing unpleasant or surprising popped up. BIG thank you!

Excellent results. Had 20/20 in the corrected eye within a week after surgery. Hayward staff was wonderful, extremely attentive throughout my stay.

Dr.Mandel took his time and explained what he was going to do during the procedure. The staff was great and made you feel very comfortable. They gave their whole attention to you . Very organized with their paper work. Time management was very good. I would highly recommend Dr. Mandel and his staff.

Dr. Mandel and his team provide VIP care from consultation through recovery no matter who you are or where you're from. He is devoted to excellence and was available personally for every phase of the procedure. My surgery was painless and just as he described. The team was there to handle my anxieties and questions. It was a very positive experience.

Dr. Mandel is the Michael Jordan of Lasik in my opinion. If you are looking for a value Lasik service provider, save your time and look elsewhere. If you value your sight and will leave nothing to unecessary chance, as do I, then only the very best will do. If the latter is your choice, Dr. Mandel should be your ONLY decision to make. Go to the doctor that other doctors want for themselves and their families. I see better today than when I was in high school (20/10).

I would recommend Dr. Mandrel in a heartbeat to anyone looking for an excellent surgeon for cataract or lasik procedures. I have had two cataract surgeries by Dr. Mandrel and a lasik procedure and I could not be more pleased.
