Dr. Mark MacKey, MD

Following the surgery after breaking both bones in my forearm, Dr. MacKey set my arm in a cast that had an apparent bow/curve in it. As one can imagine, I now have a curved forearm that gretaly inhibits my training and rock climbing excursions due to the unbearable pain and lack of mobility. As much as I am fault for not acknowledging this with him (I was a young and naive kid), it seems like an extremely unfortunate was mistake made when my arm was set. Dr. MacKey was kind and very professional, and based on the reviews, is good at what he does. I am sure this is an extreme case and I just feel like documenting my experience with him.

De Mackey is kind, caring and does a great job! He explains things so I understand and & leaves little scar compared to others I know from different hospitals. Follow up & issues always addressed appropriately. Always has time to answer needs of patient !

Took my daughter to see Dr. Mackey for a fractured arm. He was very friendly and made my daughter feel comfortable. Explained everything thoroughly and in a way she would understand. The PA and other staff were great also. I highly recommend this practice.

DR. MacKey performed hip replacement surgery on me. He was a very attentive listener during the office visits. He guided through each step of the process and displayed compassion. The experience was so good I would have Dr. MacKey replace my other hip too ( I did).

Easy check in and quick service. The staff were competent and friendly. Dr.Mackey pulled up pictures of the anatomy to show me what happened. I was quite impressed

Not only was the office efficient but Dr. Mackey’s team was great as well. Dr. Mackey himself took the time to explain in detail the injury and plan moving forward as well as answer all of our questions. Highly recommend.

On time appointment. X-ray technician friendly and efficient. PA explained treatment and performed treatment with kindness and understanding.

The office staff are always willing to be helpful in any way possible. Dr. Mackey and his Physicians Assistants have all been very knowledgeable and willing to offer suggestions to help the situation, without jumpng immediately to surgery. Very happy here and will continue to be thankful to have Dr. Mackey as my Orthopedic doctor.

My daughter fell and broke her arm. We took her to Huron Valley ER (great care received there too, BTW). Dr. Mackey was consulted on my daughter’s case in the ED (after-hours) and then we went to his office a few days later to get her cast applied. He could easily have had a tech apply the cast (a resident even came in and offered, but he declined), but he chose to do it instead. He drew pictures for my daughter and I when explaining the break, and took the time and effort to provide personalized and direct care for my 11-year-old daughter. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is very skilled and knowledgeable. It’s unusual to have an accomplished provider take that kind of time—it’s usually a “hi…bye…my assistant or resident will take care of you now,” experience. I knew him by reputation, but have now experienced it. You can see he cares about and enjoys what he does. A fantastic doctor. Office staff were also wonderful and efficient. Excellent care all the way around.

Dr. Mackey's staff is prompt, pleasant, efficient and understandable. Dr. Mackey takes his time, explains conditions and options, and listens to his patients. I would recommend Dr. Mark Mackey to anyone who has a question about hips, knees and ankles.

Last post op visit. All questions & next steps were discussed. I feel very comfortable with all decisions that we agreed upon.

First time I met Doctor Mackey. Loved how he took his time to explain things. I would definitely recommend him.

I was seen immediately. After my xray of the knee, the physician’s assistant explained everything in detail and gave me three choices of treatment. Dr. Mackey came in and explained the diagnosis, treatment and follow up care while the physician’s assistant gave me the cortisone injection in my knee. No pain - never felt the needle go in. I highly recommend Dr. Mackey!
