No compassion
After a transplant my daughter got real sick and ended up back in Strong Memorial. He came into her room, blamed her for rejecting the new organ and told her it was failing in the most callous, uncaring and rude manner. I watch her and she follows her instructions perfectly. My daughter was crying uncontrollably and he just walks out and says have a nice day. I had trouble calming her down. What kind of doctor treats a patient this way? What if this was his daughter and a doctor did this to her? Would it still be acceptable behavior? I bet not.

Didn't feel heard.
I accompanied my husband to his appointment - Dr. Levstik did not feel like investigating my husband's condition to find out why he has the symptoms he has. He waved him off as "it's probably just stress" (my husband is the most non-stressed person). Dr. came into the appt. with a bias and wouldn't listen to my husband or take his symptoms seriously. Very aggressive, gruff and rushed.

Dr levstik office does not answer messages. Dr levstik canceled a stress test ordered by the university of Pittsburg who is doing my transplant setting me back a month in treatment for another appointment, it may mean my life. Probably doesn't care as the reason I'm going to Pittsburgh is this Dr and strong memorial sent me home to die. I realize your busy but what happened to do no harm?

Amazing dr!! Explained everything thoroughly and I honestly had a great time with him! Very patient friendly! I looked forward to seeing him daily. His smile and sense of humor, his confidence and knowledge made me very comfortable. Loved having him being a major part of my surgery!

Office extremely disorganized - appointments messed up, etc.; poor communication with patient and family; pushed surgery before other options were explored; not particularly patient-friendly; I often feared appointments because I lacked confidence in what I was told about my medical condition and worried that I would be forced into having a procedure or surgery that I did not want.
