If you need your eyes checked Dr. Mark Latina may not be your best choice. He is extremely thorough and conscientious. He takes many of the most difficult and complex cases. Dr. Latina has made significant contributions to his field having authored scores of scholarly papers in the field and having invented at least one procedure that can repeatedly relive pressure in the eye. Previous methods could not be repeated. Be prepared to spend some time in a visit especially if you have serious conditions. He may run a number of tests. In between you may wait in the waiting room. He is affiliated with several hospitals including Mass Eye and Ear and Mass General which tells me something. If you have serious problems with your eyes, it would be worth your while to at least consult with him.

I saw Dr Latina in March of 2018 and he referred me to a glaucoma specialist that I saw in his Office I requested a referral from my primary care from Blue Cross/Blue Shield and was seen in Latina's Office. I ran into several glitches with the referrals not being to the right provider and tried over the next 6 months to get this corrected between both this office and my Insurance. It has now been over one year. I have been sent to collections. I am still talking with my Insurance and this Office trying to rectify this problem. I just got off the phone with my Insurance, had them call Dr Latina's office and they are working on getting this fixed and Dr Latina's Office has refused to remove me from a collection company even with the Insurance company telling me they are going to fix this I would never recommend this office to anyone They have no compassion for someone who has been working with them for over a year. They care for the almighty buck not their patients

Dr. Latina is an excellent eye surgeon. He is very caring about his patients and does his very best in all respects. He has helped me successfully with both glaucoma surgery and cataract surgery in both eyes.
