Went to him because he’s suppose to be an “expert” on endometriosis, even part of the boston center for endo. And the man couldnt ever recognize abnormal endo lesions. And preformed the incorrect surgery to properly remove endo. He kept trying to put me on meds i had bad reactions to, fought me about taking on the meds i had good reactions to and tried to push an IUD on me despite my protests and reasons why. Then a year after my surgery when i requested a second one since the first one failed, he refused. So i found a real endo specialist whose helped me more in 9 months than hornstien did in 2 1/2 years. I wouldnt let him do a paps on me, never mind anything serious.

Dr. Hornstein was absolutely amazing. He explained everything so clearly, was straightforward, walked us through our options and gave detailed info about how he came to the conclusions he did. I felt extremely supported and respected by him and would recommend him to anyone dealing with infertility or possible infertility.

Dr. Hornstein is one of the few doctors to truly understand endometriosis (a very complicated disease that many doctors are uneducated on). He is also one of the few to perform endo excision (cut out at the root), rather than ablation (burn off at the surface). Given that excision is difficult and complicated, many surgeons only ablate endo - a procedure that still allows the disease to grow back. His demeanor is kind, caring, and informative. Highly recommend him.
