Dr Harris
If I could rate any lower than one star, I would. He diagnosed my mother with Parkinson's and prescribed medication for tremors. The medication was not helping and was causing side effects, so she stopped taking it. At her next appointment, he condemned her for not taking the medication and wrote another prescription. His notes indicate that she was uncooperative and refused to take the meds as prescribed. He also diagnosed her with dementia. She is sharp as a tack, and he noted false statements in his report such as 'can't recognize family members' and 'doesn't know the names of family members'. This is completely false! It seemed he 'listened' to a family member who was trying to rid her hands and have her put in a home. I took her to a new doctor. Not only does she not have dementia....SHE DOESN'T HAVE PARKINSON'S. There are plenty of competent neurologists out there, and he is not one of them. DO NOT GO TO THIS INCOMPETENT DOCTOR!!! My friend with PD diagnosed her more accurately.

Terrible Office Staff
I was referred to Dr. Harris by my primary care physician. He may be a talented neurologist, but his office staff that are responsible for scheduling appointments are not responsive. I've tried calling and sending an email to reschedule my appointment and I can't get them to respond. I'm giving up and will find a different office that values new clients. When I spoke to someone initially and she scheduled my appointment, she was rude and hostile. This did NOT make a great first impression, but I was willing to overlook her attitude just to meet with the doctor that was recommended. No thanks, I value my time more than to deal with this nonsense.

impossible to make and keep appointments
This office has canceled several of the appointments I had and it is impossible to contact them, Either the phone rings and rings and goes to an anonymous voicemail with no return call, or the number gives an actual busy tone. This does not seem the way to run a successful business. I was never given any treatment options by the doctor and had to follow up with one of the PAs. I am not at all impressed with this practice.

Ugh
I've been having vertigo for 8 months and decided to go here because it was the fastest I could get an appointment and they take Medicare. Huge mistake. The imaging place they sent me to lost my MRI and the doctor never asked them for another one. I brought in my CD and he didn't have a way to look at the images. What kind of neurologist doesn't have imaging software installed on their computer?? He said there's white spots on my brain but he doesn't know what they are and he didn't order any more tests like another MRI or a spinal tap. When I was listing off my medications he didn't know what Truvada was?? It's not a neuro med but it's very common. He basically pawned me off to a neuropsychiatrist for more testing cause I guess he thinks it's all in my head. I've got an appointment with a well regarded neurologist at Emory in a month and a half and I'm glad that I can finally go somewhere else. It's such garbage that my condition prevents me from doing anything and he isn't helping...

Years ago needed his help. He left me stranded with a painful back condition. Wouldn't tell the truth to disability he diagnosed in first place. Still in pain due to his dislike for backpack pts. Don't think he's for you.

The biggest problem here is the office. If you can get someone on the phone, they don't help you. If you are calling back to get an order, for example, they won't follow up and get it for you. There is no follow-through. This has happened to me repeatedly.

Did not see Dr. Harris but his office staff and manager were disgraceful. They would not let me make an appointment unless I brought an old record that I did not have. They did not understand my problem and did not care about helping me whatsoever. They were pathetic.

I would leave a zero I could. I have been a patient of Dr. Harris for years. He has a terrible bedside manner, can not read MRI's, has no compassion and his office staff is incredibly unprofessional. I came in with scary symptoms including losing some vision and my balance. If you question him at all he will drop you as a patient. When I called to reschedule a follow up they told me they didn't like my behavior and to not come back- then hung up on me. Please never go see this doctor!

Waited an hour and a half for my appt. unapologetic and office staff then lectured me stating that is how it is if you want to see him, to expect that kind of wait every time. Rude and dismissive office staff.

Arrogant, wouldn’t listen only threw out quick fixes and didn’t want to hear anything about how we had attempted to solve problems w my elderly father. Defensive and suggested that I only wanted more medication, which I didn’t even mention but would have appreciated discussing options. After many years of seeing him, I’ve had enough.

My husband is a patient of Dr. Harris. I have read all the reviews on this page and I'm astounded with the poor ratings. I have never had an issue with Dr. Harris or his staff. Everyone has always bent over backwards to help us in any way possible. My husband is on a very expensive medication and he lost his insurance. The staff voluntarily printed the patient assistance paperwork and helped us submit it. I've never had to question my husband's diagnosis or treatment.

I am a retired practice administrator and have been in the business for 35 plus years. I have an extensive background in practice management. This staff and manager are absolutely uneducated. They are rude unprofessional and not willing to listen to the patients. I have several friends that try to make appointments in this practice and the young lady answering the phone got loud and ugly with them. She then got her manager on the phone who was no better. She was yelling at me. Doctors wake up.

We had a great experience with Dr. Harris. We were able to see him on our first appt. He listened and we went through all of my spouse's symptoms. The office staff was friendly and we did not wait long (we had an early morning appt though). We finally had a doctor that listened and knew enough about that specific type of headache to finally get some relief. We are continuing to go to his practice and see the PA mainly but him when needed.

My third neurologist. Deborah E. Murray who is Physician Assistant at his office. She was able to come up with perfect solution to my problem (migraines and tremors) three years back. It was a life changing event to me. Office staff may not be good but I rate doctors very high.

Dr. Harris completely ignored my husband and his symptoms. Long story short after finding a different neurologist who would see him right away and actually listen and order the proper tests my husband is now in the hospital receiving treatment for Guillain Barre syndrome. If we would have stayed with Harris who knows what would have happened since he didn't want to see my husband back until Feb. GBS is a very serious illness. If you want a doc who cares and listens Dr Harris is NOT that doctor!

Inefficient and rude staff. The doctors staff screwed up my husband's appointment , were unapologetic and rude. Usually, I am able to overlook miscommunications and mistakes. The staff at this place was extremely careless, unapologetic and had the audacity to ask us to find another place for the scan. No patient ever deserves to go through the experience this staff has to offer.
