Dr. Mark Hackbarth, MD

This doctor has no right being a pain doctor. He is disrespectful; yelled in my face; accused me of being depressed and said does he need to refer me to a psychiatrist and I had a severe migraine that day. He was rude and condescending.

Dr. Hackbarth is good at performing injections but rarely follows up with patients. That is left to PAs and nurses who are not as adept in diagnosing problems as a physician. At one follow-up visit, expecting to see Dr. Hackbarth, I saw a PA instead who knew nothing about my situation. His practice is prone to recommend pain injections rather than investigate other pain management options. Since the fee I pay at visits is for seeing a physician, that is who I expect to see.

I am a severe RA paitient that my Rheumatologists reffered me too. He is suppose to be a pain management Doctor. Rather than managing pain all he does is reduce pain meds without managing any pain!!! Then on second or third appointment replaces morphine with methadone which after 4 day made me so sick, called office, he doesn't work on Fridays and office help said I would quit taking it or go to ER. Never a call back. Then get a call to schedule appoint to burn nerves in legs. Pain is all joints
