Awful staff
Awful experience with the staff. Notice to all new patients: they have a policy they don’t inform you of, where they will cancel your appointment if you do not confirm. After waiting over 3 mo, living in pain everyday, counting down the seconds till your appointment… all you get is a confrontational manager, a shrug, and berated for not knowing the policy as a brand new patient. Even after saying I have all the voicemails and can play them for her to show I was never told the policy, I was told “no need”. Even showing I called to confirm the time of my appointment a few days prior, but apparently that did count as confirmation? Sad that I’m going to have to live in pain everyday until I get another rheumatologist appointment at another location. Don’t miss a phone call if you want to be a patient, don’t live, or work, or spend any time away from your phone, and obviously be able to read minds so you know the policy beforehand.

Dr. Fisher is an excellent Rheumatologist. He is the second Rheumatologist that I have seen and I trust his judgement and treatment plans. After being basically dismissed by the first RA doctor, Dr Fisher took the time to do extensive blood work, exams and imaging to definitively diagnose me as having Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was referred to him by a friend, and travel over an hour to see him. It is well worth the time and travel. Dr. Fisher takes the time to thoroughly ask questions, exam you and allow you to ask questions on all diagnoses and medications. While I initially found him to be very dry/matter of fact, after being a patent for 2 years, I have a great rapport with him and look forward to visits with him. He is very accessible through the online portal and communicates regularly with my PCP. I highly recommend Dr. Fisher!

Zero bedside manner. Blatantly tells patients that they’re taking up too much of his time and basically gives ultimatums on treatment without discussing pros/cons of options. Extremely demoralizing to patients. He should have a bit more empathy for the patients he treats. They are one of our most vulnerable populations who seek guidance and support, not bullying and intimidation. Very sad to see a professional behave this way.

Early stage RA in long-term remission--thanks to Dr Fisher. I have life threatening medication intolerances. Previous rheumy did not explain my tx options (both drugs and protocols); played Dr Knows Best. Dr Fisher took the time to explain my tx options as well as the nature of the disease. He is busy and occasionally forgot that I am a medical oddity. Smart doc, good guy. Science Nerd. Enjoys medically challenging cases. Get to apt early--he rarely runs late.

Dr. Fisher spent only 15 minutes with me for a new patient evaluation. I have a fairly complex medical history and he barely asked me about it. He misdiagnosed me with osteoarthritis even though it turns out that I have seronegative arthritis which requires a totally different treatment. I would not recommend him. Poor bedside manner which I would have been happy to overlook if he had properly diagnosed me.
