Rude, Arrogant and uncaring.
After years of avoiding back surgery I finally had to give in and do something to relieve the numbness and pain. Had gotten to the point I couldn't walk more than 30min at a time. First visit Dr Crabtree spent about 3 mins in the room told me I was Obese and too fat for surgery, turned around and left. Got on W-egovy and lost 45lbs, Crabtree claimed he could relieve my pain and I would be back to work in 12-15 weeks. after surgery I have Sciatic nerve pain in a new location (likely damaged in surgery) that was worse than my original issues. I can tell by their reactions to my radiology other DR's I have seen now that something was done wrong---but you will never get another DR to openly say it. It is a year later and still in pain! Can not hold my old job position any longer. No response from his office. 25year career is down the tubes! Avoid this surgeon!

1 year later still in pain – Apr 01, 2025

Terrible 'bedside' manner.
I have been having back issues for 20 years. The first thing he said when he came in the room was 'there is nothing I can do for you' No explanation, no discussion. I got up and left. Every time I want to see someone for my back they send me to this guy.

It was terrible, he was rude and arrogant, when informed he was sending me back to another doctor. When asked about lifting weight to go back to work he said the numbers were high sneared and said my job was trying to fire me.

Does unnecessary surgery to make money
I went to see Dr. Crabtree and waiting to see him in his office he walks in dressed in an outfit that looks like he just got done mowing the grass. My file was sitting in from of me he walks in without reading anything in it and tells me I have 3 options. 1. Stay in pain. 2. Do pain meds or 3. have surgery. He was pushing #3. So I went to another neurosurgeon and he read the reports and told me I did not need surgery just rehab.

Best Surgeon for spinal surgery
+/- 12 years ago Dr. Crabtree stabilized L3-5 and I have never had any pain in that area again. Best Surgeon ever - I sought his expertise after I fired the VA and it was the best decision I ever made. BTW Brother Dr. - I am +80 and doing well.

In 1997 I had a C-spine surgery on C-5-6 and the fusion! For 23 years I was pain free … in 2020 I had reconstruction surgery done on C-4-5 / 6-7 by another neurosurgeon in Fayetteville (dr Blankenship) and have not had any issues at all, just the recovery time… just do what the doctors recommend and you should be fine. Dr Carbtree is a great surgeon, as we say it in Arkansas,,, he’s the cats meow !!!

After being in constant lumbar pain with nerve pain and numbness in my thigh for five years I can't say thank you enough for doing my surgery. I feel I was guided to Dr Crabtree and his staff to perform my surgery. I am lumbar pain free. I still have some nerve pain and numbness in my thigh but it is so much better and I expect it to continue to improve as the nerve heals from being compressed for so long. I would highly recommend Dr Crabtree and his staff. Others have mentioned Dr Crabtree's lack of personality and explaining everything, which I agree with, but Eric, Dr Crabtree's PA, more than makes up for that.

I have been extremely impressed with the professional services that I have received from DR Crabtree and his staff. I was in such pain prior to my surgery I didn't think I was ever going to be completely pain free. But I have been elated with the outcome...completely pain free. Praise the Lord!

Rude, arrogant and has GOD complex. My diabetic husband waited from 9-3 with no insulin. No food, no explanation. Mr Crabtree rudely came into the room and walked out when I asked about the wait. And cancelled the surgery. And let me add all the white patients were in and out no problem we were there so long 2 sections closed down so they just kept moving him around. Don't waste ur time and money on such an arrogant rude disrespectful person .

Like most lawyers & doctors, do what they want when they want. Had a surgery scheduled for weeks tomorrow and the office called and moved it to next week this morning. Affecting my travel arrangements, post surgery arrangement, pet sitter, whole lot of people moved life around for my surgery, and good ole doctor Crabtree moves it out a week the morning before surgery. Not a happy camper
