Bedside manners and personable
I grew to know Dr. Connolly and his oncology team within the last few months. Was a bit overwhelmed by his team when they came to see me in the hospital and me not knowing what was going on. But everyone of them were caring and concerned and explained what was happening and what to expect. They made me feel at ease and that I was in good hands and not to worry.

Dr. Connolly has operated on my Dad twice, my Dad felt extremely comfortable with him. First surgery was pre covid, second last week. Dr. Connolly is extremely comforting, he is an amazing Dr. He truly cares about his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Connolly‘s for the past 30 years. He treated my mother and he also treated my sister. I would not see anybody else and hopefully he does not retire soon. He is very caring and explains everything. He answers all your questions. I would highly recommend him.

I'm writing this review on the same day as my recent operation with Dr. Connolly. I advise anyone reading this to run - and fast, as far away from Dr. Connolly as possible. I could provide reams of detailed feedback on his failings as a doctor but the site only allows 1000 characters. So here's the abbreviated version: 1. Lacks any sense of empathy or warmth. It's clear from the moment he walks in that he doesn't really care about you as a person. You're nothing but a job to him. 2. Lacks respect for patients and the ability to treat them decently. Will do things to you without asking if it's OK first such as examining your body. He just launches into it and can be quite aggressive - manipulating your body without telling you what he's doing or asking if you feel comfortable while he's doing it. I've been examined by many doctors and he's the only one hat made me sore afterward 3. Poor communicator. Uses technical jargon rather than plain English

I don't know what kind of surgeon he is because he humiliated me and left me crying before we ever got there. My seemingly small issue is difficult to treat, painful, embarrassing, and impacts my daily functioning. He was brusque, smirking, and blamed me because the first round of treatment didn't work. When I expressed that I was extremely anxious about surgery, he said, "you're not exactly the toughest person." Not helpful or appropriate. He's a jerk. Too many other good doctors in this city.

I would not recommend Dr. Connolly. He was 2 hours behind schedule and as soon as he walked in I could tell he just wanted to get me out of there ASAP and to go home. Did not listen to a word I said, did not even fake an interest in what was wrong with me. He decided I was completely healthy after a couple of minutes as though my PCP would refer me to him if I were completely fine. His Resident Physician did a better job trying to dig into a cause mainly because Dr. Connolly never attempted to.
