Bad history
Fellow patients please do your due diligence and research this doctors file with the mass board of medicine. He performed a Caldwell Luc procedure on me in 2023 and I am still suffering from numbness. Come to find out my surgery could’ve been done entirely inside my nose with no complications. I wish I had never met him

Dr. Brown caused my Dad a lot of pain & suffering
Throughout my Dad's cancer journey, choosing Dr. Mark Brown was the worst decision imaginable. I truly believe my Dad would still be here today if he had chosen another doctor. Dr. Brown removed cancerous lymph nodes in my Dad's neck and after surgery gleefully expressed 'I think I got it all!' He later performed another surgery for a 'suspicious spot that was cancerous' but, in fact, was NOT cancer. My Dad had a big hole in his neck for an unnecessary surgery. Anyway, Dad died at age 61---very healthy and on no medications before the cancer. Dr. Brown did not remove all the cancer and it came back immediately. Please see another ENT, anyone else is better. After my father passed, Dr. Brown's office was the only provider that didn't send a sympathy card or acknowledge his passing. My mom should have sued.

Not up to code
Not at all up to date with current guidelines and technology. Did not recommend a cat scan or biopsy when my GP sent me to him for what they thought was a tumor in my saliva gland. He wanted to jump right to a big surgery. I got a second opinion and was thankfully spared a big operation. Seems like he needs to update his continuing ed that all doctors are required to do.

Sinus exam; worsening eye retraction in one eye
Dr. Brown was clear in his presentation regarding his diagnosis, and recommendation for next steps to further refine possible future procedures. He was very amiable and unrushed to listen to my background regarding a prior surgery and changes since then. Without hesitation, all medical visits should be this congenial and constructive!

I visited Dr. Brown in February 2020 with some white spots on my tongue. He took one look and said that my partial was causing the issue and "if you worried about cancer, don't it isn't cancer". "Get your partial adjusted". Well, I followed his advice and this February I had surgery for Squamous Cell Carcinoma. I had a second surgery in March to remove and reconstruct 1/2 my tongue using muscle from my forearm for the reconstruction. Would I recommend him? Absolutely NOT.

Thank goodness I was referred to Great Hills ENT. It was my good fortune to be tested and/or treated by Dr. Brown. Every test & procedure was handled efficiently, professionally and with genuine care. Thanks to his knowledge and expertise, I have been diagnosed and can get on with treatment & therapy. Though it's never desirable to have any kind of disability, Dr. Brown and his staff worked together to get me an answer that I've needed for a very long time
