Unprofessional and Ineffective
I visited the office to remove a dermatofibroma nodule on my nose and discuss Lipoma options. Upon entering the examination room I was instructed to strip to my underwear and don a small plastic gown. I'm not a large man (5'7', 160 lbs) but I assume the gown was meant for a child as it went to just above my knees and I could barely tie the waist cord.Dr. Abdelmalek entered the room with his asst. I told him about the growth on my nose and that I had had it for about 20 years. I had occasionally shaved it to reduce its appearance but figured it was time to have it removed by a professional. That's when he started querying me a half a dozen times if I was a medical professional. Thanks Doctor. No. That's why I'm here.I then asked about some lipoma removal options. Frustrated when he couldn't undo the bow knot on the itty bitty gown, he ripped the gown off of me. Excuse me?End results:1. I had him remove the benign growth on my nose. It is back.2. He had no options for the lipoma.

As unappealing and invasive as the procedure(s) I'm having/have had done may have been, Dr. Mark and his associates (Angelo, Kelly and Matt - I hope I got all of your names right!) made the entire experience, for lack of a better word, pleasant. Not only were they all extremely knowledgeable but also comforting. This particular procedure can be quite lengthy and uncomfortable (not to mention my appointment was toward the end of their day and everyone else was gone by the time I left) but they were patient, awesome and kept the conversations light. Everything turned out awesome and everyone was excessively informative (in a good way as I had a lot of questions) on what to expect. I feel so comfortable going there and knowing that I'm in the best possible hands. Thank you!!
