Dr. Marjan Attaran, MD

I had been to 5 different doctors before her, and was hoping she would be able to give me some answers. I drove 5 hours to see her: I didn’t mind if she was going to help me. I was in her office for maybe 5 minutes. She told me I needed to stop complaining and be grateful for my situation (not ever having periods). She told me she didn’t understand why I had seen so many doctors, as there is “nothing wrong with me”. She gave me 2 options, and that was it. She has awful bedside manner, is cold and rude, and didn’t care about me as a person. She made it clear she didn’t want me as her patient and wanted me to be in and out as fast as possible. She also prescribed me a hormone without telling me, and sent it to my pharmacy with no explanation (she never even told me about that as an option). She laughed when I told her I was worried about my health, and when I told her I didn’t want to do a certain medicine because of a negative reaction, she laughed at me again. A horrible experience.

We had a terrible experience with Dr. Attaran. She was far more concerned about policy and procedures than our issues with pregnancy loss and infertility. Her demeanor was cold, callous, and unprofessional. She was both rude to us and spoke condescendingly about her colleagues. If you are looking for empathy and compassion in your care, don't see her.
