She and her team are phenomenal!
I was gifted with instant pain relief in my back and neck today! Courtesy of Dr. Chang while her amazing team assisted! I have lived with severe pain since going halfway through a windshield in 1982 in a high speed head on accident and today Dr. Chang relieved that pain entirely, with complete precision and with the the most awesome bedside manner. She and her totally dedicated team are there to help you. I cannot recommend them enough! Simply phenomenal!

Dr Chang is the best at treating migraines
Dr. Chang is up on the latest research and treatments for migraines and that is crucial because the science is always changing as medicine still doesn't understand them that well. I have seen famous neurologists in major US cities and she is better. She has been my neurologist for many years. In order to reach a live person for questions about prescription refills or medication side effects, I recommend selecting the option to make an appointment from the phone directory and then relaying your concerns to the receptionists. The one drawback--and this is an important flaw--is the lack of staff to process claims through insurance. That makes it hard for patients who are not wealthy to receive excellent care.

Nasty, snobbish unprofessional
She throw the MRI order at me as she does not accept insurance and didn’t expect me to continue to pay $700 and travel over 60 miles to see her. Chang didn’t know how to treat migraine and I continue to suffer until I meet a real neurologist six months later. She didn’t even want me against light and noise sensitivity to protect myself. She’s snobbish nasty and extremely unprofessional. I have never run into such a doctor in my life. Stay away from her for your own good.

To quick to order expensive procedures
I went to see Dr. Chang with severe TMJ and a history of choking on food. She recommended an injection of my cheek muscle with a charge of $1500 (she does not take insurance). I asked her regarding risks and she said that some patients get weakness of swallowing for 2 or 3 months. She trivialized my history which I found to be unprofessional.

Visiting Dr. Chang for the first time was a nice experience. She listened to me, was extremely empathetic, and seemed to understand how all my conditions were interrelated. However, during the follow-up visit, I was shocked by how her attitude had changed. Perhaps it could be because the follow-up visit is $200-300 cheaper, or that she was busy, but after 10 minutes, she kept reiterating "I will see you in a couple weeks" and closed her notes. Even though I continued asking her 2 more questions, she kept reiterating the same sentence and pointed towards the door and said, "Follow me out this door please." She left me at the front desk/reception without even saying goodbye to her client, and I was shocked. This is not how you treat your clients, and this is not how you would want them to return. Not to mention - it is almost impossible to get a hold of someone over the phone. I had to get a prescription change and after 10 phone calls and 3 emails, nobody got back to me.

Dr. Chang is knowledgable and explains her thinking clearly. She is also easy to talk to. In my case, she figured out how to get me the help I needed quickly when in a crisis. I can't imagine where I'd be now had I not made the decision to seek her help.

I've been suffering from cluster migraines for 15 years. Cycles hit about every two years and last about eight weeks with daily attacks. Other doctors helped with pain management, but none has been able to figure out how to break a cycle--until I met Dr. Chang. She told me there is need to suffer like I am. During this last cycle at about day 10, I saw Dr. Chang. She gave me a "cocktail" of drugs under general monitored anesthesia. Since then, I have been headache free. Dr. changed my life.

I am a medical malpractice attorney with more than 20 years experience. Dr. Chang has been my treating neurologist for the past four years. I recommend her without hesitation to clients, colleagues and friends. If my children needed neurological evaluation I would bring them to her. Her qualifications are impeccable and she has a warm and personal bedside manner. Her office and nursing staff are amazing.

Dr. Chang is my husband's neurologist. We find it is easy to get appointments with her and they begin and end on time. When she is with us, she is 100% focused on my husband. Appropriate physician caring is about the attitude a doctor has for one's patients and the smarts he/she brings to the examination room. It is also about making sure that the details of dealing with the system are manageable. Dr. Chang is always there when we need her. Dr. Chang gets it right.
