Dr. Marion Owen, MD

Update 8.24: I’ve been in the ER twice in the last week. Dr. Owen has been there every step of the way. Same for Tamika and Anita who went out of their way to get important info collected and distributed. My husband and I are so thankful for how much she cares, knows, and advocates. We’re comforted knowing someone has my back, who knows me so well that she can quickly identify and communicate to others what I need. Same for Susan when she needs to manage my care as well.Update 3.23: Same rave reviews plus the staff has been great, and love the new office and new location in the heart of Decatur.Original: I have been a patient of Dr. Owen’s since early 2017. She diagnosed me after 7 years of being lost in a medical system that dismissed me or wasn’t up-to-date on medical research. Concierge medicine was new to me, but it is worth every dollar I spend per month. She has advocated for me in a way no doctor ever has. I’m truly grateful.

She is excellent. She cares, communicates effectively, breaks down medical langauge so that I understand and her plan for my health is tailored for me. She is my favorite doctor of all times and I have seen a lot if doctors.

Dr. Owen and Susan are amazing. I was referred to Dr. Owen for a hard-to-diagnose condition, and she was the first (out of many) doctors to finally come up with the correct diagnosis, on the spot, in her office. She first did an incredibly through history, asked lots of questions, and clearly categorized things that weren't working and things that hadn't been looked at, until she figured it out. She uses a blend of "regular" medicine with naturopathic / holistic sensibilities. She can also be very frank, which I appreciate each time, as it helps me see what I need to see, or change the behavior I need to change. Her current staff has been there for several years and has really worked well together. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Owens is a smart doctor. She was current with medical research for my issue. Something that other doctors were not. and who based their advice on their poor medical education, not science. She was the only effective doctor I had in the process of trying to find out what was wrong with my health.
