Heart broken former patient of 18yrs.
I told Dr. G about being abused and he refused to report it. I was seriously abused on August 23, 2019 and when I took Dr. G the police reports and photos of the abuse, he let me go as his patient then, wrote on his medical report that I was making it up! He is lost when it comes to REALITY!

Dr Galvarino is knowledgeable and helpful. He has helped me control my anxiety for several years. Office staff is another story, i believe they think they are police officers answering phones. They lack patience and professionalism. I worry about their impact on patients with significant mental problems

Stay away
Dr. Galvarino is the most unprofessional physician I’ve ever encountered. He is rude, and gets easily annoyed by any question you ask him during the appointment. He strikes me as someone deeply unsatisfied/frustrated with his work.

Pt BEWARE. He is angry. He is not practicing safe care I was his patient for over a year. I have been on a controlled substance for 31 years for severe anxiety. So Galverino decides...You don't need it anymore.

Hes a nice man but doesn’t really listen I’ve never been in his office more than 10 min. I have bipolar depression and take 3 different meds every morning and night but every time I ask about a different medicine he just shuts me down and tells me he’s not changing because my Medicare won’t cover other meds! I would rather take one pill one time a day instead of 3 twice a day I’m considering finding a new doc!

Dr. G seemed to be a caring physician when my husband entered his practice. However, in the 2 years that he treated him, my husband was maxed out on so many meds that he was non-functional. When meds did not work, Dr.G referred him for ECT. After 23 ECT treatments and permanent cognitive damage, he became angry and told my husband, "what do you want me to do? " "There's nothing I can do for you!" He stopped treating him, which has been a blessing!

1st appt. was not good. He was in a bad mood or I upset him immediately. Spent 15 on 45 appt/eval, & was told 45. My conditions not discussed much, meds covered well. Felt my time was less valuable to him. 2nd visit, open & amiable! He answers all, explains all, asks leading ?s & can tell he cares about me. He's invested now. I follow instructions, more + change 6mo/him vs 18yrs/all over, attend psych visits. His investment is worth it to me, hope he knows & I'm truly thankful for his time!

What a poor excuse of a doctor. During the entire 7 minute visit, he called a family member selfish and psychotic, rarely made eye contact and never offered a treatment plan to treat depression and anxiety. For this rude, uncompassionate, non-professional dismissal, we paid almost $100.00! What a scam. How this guy continues to practice is beyond me. Even more surprising is why people would continue to go back to him. If you want better psychiatric care, you're better off standing on a street co

I saw Dr Galvarino today for the first time, April 18,2016... I was apprehensive at the beginning of my visit but after talking with him for a few minutes he won my confidence and my heart! Dr. Galvarino answered questions for me that I had not gotten any place else during my many years of therapy! He is compassionate and very open and willing to listen. At the end of my visit, he hugged me and said God bless you!

I would not recommend Dr Galvarino to any of my friends or family. He is not compassionate at all. He doesn't care about his patients. He cares only about the $$ he is making. I went to him for help and found myself feeling worse after I left his office. I paid $84.00 for 5 minutes of his time.

Unsatisfied Patient in Greenville, SC – Mar 03, 2016
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Galvarino?
If you want to go to a psychiatrist who cares about you, Dr. Galvarino is not your guy. If you're looking for someone to try and help you understand the medications he wants you to take and what the plan is for your treatment, look elsewhere. If you don't care if your doctor is just running a production line of patients and you are the next couple hundred dollars he's making, you'll do just fine with doctor Galvarino.
