Never too late to say thank you
Dr. Dobyns is an excellent geriatrician. She has cared for nearly 20 years. Her retirement has left a void. I did not get a chance to give her a proper farewell, so I am leaving this review to express my appreciation. Dr. Dobyns is a knowledgeable, caring, dedicated physician, who acknowledged my concerns, and treated me with respect and dare I even say, love. I recently celebrated my 90th birthday. I would like to thank her and her dedicated team for their diligent work and care over the years.

One of the Best
I have been going to Dr. Dobyns for about 25 years. She is an excellent diagnostician and - if necessary - will act on an urgent issue immediately. She is caring and listens to what you say and validates your concerns. I really love this doctor.

I would recommend Dr. Dobyns to everyone, she is an excellent doctor in comparison to the state of doctoring found in Florida. I do want to know about telehealth because I would like her to be my doctor again without moving back to Maryland....

My husband was with Dr. Dobyns for 35 years and I have been with her 5 years. Neither of us have ever had reasons to complain about her or her staff.

I have been with Dr. Dobyns for 20 years and from day one she has been very caring and wonderful. She worked with my ob/gyn and fetal specialists during a late life high risk pregnancy to keep my child and me alive. When I developed a little known illness, she worked for a few years to find my diagnoses instead of giving up and calling me crazy. We are called zebras because when you hear hoofbeats everyone expects horses (the normal) not zebras (the very rare). The medical industry has abandoned us because we are too few to be profitable. Most people don't get a diagnosis for over 10 years because this is so rare and little know. Because of her I got diagnosed much earlier and have a better outlook for it.

Medical staff has difficulty with simple procedures. Unnecessary ( a waste of your time and expensive for your insurance company) tests are often requested. Office is unorganized, causing delays. Personnel can range from pleasant to rude.

The poor rating is due to the office staff. They state that they will call you back then never do, they state that they send in referrals but do not, ultimately leaving you, the patient, not knowing where to turn in the primary care physician, referral, specialist, insurance system. One staff member states that a visit is approved, the specialist states they have not received the referral, you call back and another staff member states it is not approved. Nightmare.

Dr. Dobyns listens to you. She tries to keep up on the latest medications and treatments. She cares about her patients and has an excellent bedside manner. I have been a patient of hers for over 20 years; while her staff and locations have changed drastically during that time, she remains a caring, concerned, competent physician.
