Dr. Maria Valencia, MD

I feel very fortunate to have found Dr Maria Valencia. She has helped me greatly and I appreciate attention to detail.

Doctor does not help patients, does less than bare minimum.

Sent me for a battery of tests in November 2022. I waited for a call to set up an appt. to review the results but never got one. Tried to schedule one myself but I could never get through. Ended up requesting an appt. through the portal & received a call 2 days later saying she was booked out until February. I took the appt. then received a call saying she would be out of the office that day & they rescheduled me for May. I finally got in and told her my concerns after seeing the results sent to me by Delaware Imaging and Labcorp. She said her staff contacted me, through the portal, and went over the results. I told her I NEVER received a call or message but she showed me the "message" in the portal but I never received it in my inbox. So I left with no information about the results which were worrisome. She was curt & seemed annoyed that I kept asking questions. I've found a new PCP with a 5 star rating and I hope they care more about their patients health concerns.

Not polite, not compassionate, not caring, curt, snapping in diagnosing, very rude. I can say a lot of negative things about her. I was told not to come back to the office because I told her I did not like her unpleasant behavior. They also did not communicate important information to a new patient which really upset me. If I had known I was participating in a clinical atmosphere, I would had never gone. I stooped below my standards. Never again!! I was not given proper information on the wait time for a form that I needed to be returned to me before 7-10 days! Incompetent staff. I was not informed at all, but of course, that’s the patient’s fault. As I said. I would had never gone to a clinic if I had paid more attention. Poor service.

Uneducated about chronic Lyme and after I was diagnosed it seemed she intentionally became as unhelpful as possible so that I’d leave her practice. For instance I needed 2 weeks of omeprozal to hold me over until I saw my gastro and she refused. This contributed to a mental downhill spiral and ptsd fearing I wouldn’t get the help and care I need from medical professionals. I switched to a different primary who has been more than empathetic and helpful, and has given me the peace and space to heal.

Not knowledgeable, inefficient and acts like she could care less about your health. I went to see her for a sinus infection, told her all my symptoms and she said she didn't see anything wrong and she would not order an antibiotic. today her receptionist called to tell me my WBC were elevated and the dr. wants to know if I'm having any symptoms. (??????!!!!!?????). NOW she is ordering an antibiotic. They failed to tell me I now have mild emphysema, too!!!!! INEFFICIENT to say the least.
