I was having difficulty breathing and soreness in chest. Called Spurling's office to try and get an appointment and told there was no availability. I ended up going to urgent care and then Cox ER for my health issues. The next day another doctor followed up with me and called in another prescription to help me recover. A week later I received a call from Spurling's office stating they were no longer seeing me as a patient since I was "seeing" another doctor. Dr. Spurling was my Primary Care Physician for many years. This is the the first time in my life that I have ever been told by a doctor that they were no longer treating me as a patient. It is a sad state of affairs in the Healthcare industry and even more disappointing from Dr. Spurling. I believe sometimes doctors forget why they began practicing medicine in the first place.

Dr Spurling is a great family doctor. She is friendly and pleasant, and very thorough. She tracks your medical history and identifies potential problem areas, offering referrals as necessary. My husband and I are very impressed with her. Does not make you feel rushed - she always takes the time to address all your concerns.

Dr Spurling is a very caring doctor, & goes out of her way to help the patient. I have had health issues for 6+ years now, & have had 5 different primary care doctors. The first 4 doctors just wanted to write prescriptions & referrals, even though they did not have a clue as to what might be wrong. I have been referred to cardiac, pulmonary, E.N.T., psychiatrist, and gastrointestinal doctors, none of which helped me at all. But Dr Spurling took the time to listen, & sent me to the right doctor!

I would highly recommend Dr. Spurling to all my family and friends. She put me at ease and took the time to answer all my questions. I am 62 with several long term health problems, and I found her to be very knowledgeable and caring. I'm sure she would be great with kids too, because she has such a friendly way.
