Nursing Staff is the Problem...Not the Doc
I’ve been warned about posting reviews when angry but I think doing so this evening might be apropos. For around a month or so, give or take, I’ve been experiencing tightness and moderate pain in my chest. I really didn’t think it was cardiac related but the condition persisted so I thought it high time to see a doctor about it. I have been seeing Dr. Saavedra since I moved here from California. She is a wonderful doctor and a seemingly nice individual. Unfortunately, to schedule an appointment it seems as though one must get past her nursing staff. I called this afternoon to make an appointment to see about the discomfort in my chest only to be told that a nurse would give me a call back. Very odd but OK, I’ll play the silly game. Within just a few minutes a nurse called me back and asked me several questions about my symptoms. At the culmination of the call I was not permitted to schedule an appointment but was told to go to the emergency room. Huh?! I don’t require the s

Forced me to learn how to read my own blood work.
Had to demonstrate to this Dr. my white blood cell count was barely there. Bought a microscope, sent pictures to 3rd party medical doctors who were stunned by what my microscope was showing. Never rely on 1 doctor. My medical files are still present at rush showing the longevity of neglect which made my journey of stage 3 chronic Lyme disease so severe, I needed an emergency PICC line to the heart for 9 months.

She is a bandaid dr.
The criteria for a good doctor seems to be a 'good listener' but what if the doctor listens then refuses the patient's requests? I've been suffering from insomnia for 6 months and when I asked for a sleep study or a referral to a specialist she lectured me on sleep hygiene and sent me home with a sheet of paper with tips. I've had severe pain in my leg but instead of a referral to diagnose my reason for the pain she gave me a prescription for some ointment. In short I believe her cautious 'bandaid' medical care has put my health in jeopardy and borders on negligence.
