Excellent Care
I have been seeing Dr. Davila regularly for 4 years now. I had been through a few psychiatrists over several years that were ineffective. In my first appointment with her, Dr. Davila took a more aggressive approach including a change in anti-depressants from SSRIs to an SSNRI and the addition of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy. In a relatively short amount of time, I went from being an addict who could not hold down a job due to my symptoms to excelling in my career and my family life. I cannot thank Dr. Davila enough for helping me turn my life around.

Horrible Psychiatrist
I will NEVER go back to see Dr. Davila. Today was my second visit, and I was sooooo angry I just got up and left. She has no bed side manner, she's rude, she doesn't care about what you're going through, and she doesn't listen to a thing you say. Then she tried to discharge a lot of my medications all at once. I've been on a regimen for about 4 years now and since January of this year, my mental status has been rapidly crumbling. Then she tried to recommend medication that wasn't covered through my insurance. This is a warning people don't waste your money on her, she's a horrible psychiatrist.

She is very busy. Her practice includes IV Ketamine, Spravato, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Treaments, & group addiction meetings. With all this, she will see patients, only and if, they need a medical reason for a 15 minute medication appointment. She is a good physician, but do not count on seeing her! Meanwhile her staff do not know what they are doing!

Dr. Davila has been a life-saver for me! I cannot say enough good things about her and her staff. She offers the latest in depression treatment, such as Ketamine and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). I have been a part of IOP at her office, also. Through her care, I have found hope. She listens well, explains things thoroughly, and works me in when I am having an emergency. I am very thankful for Dr. Davila.

She is not very kind or understanding. She tried to change 5 meds at once right before I was leaving the country for 3 weeks. She has poor bed side manner. As well, although she confirmed that my insurance would do a test, she sent it to an out-of-network company, leaving me with a $3500 bill for a test I did not want to take in the first place.

I have been doing the TMS therapy and it really works for my depression. I was depressed all the time and sleeping 15 hours a day. With TMS, I now sleep 8 hours a day and rarely have depressed moods. It's like a miracle. I finally have my life back. I also do IOP, which is a helpful tool to recovery as well with classes on coping and a group therapy section as well. I highlight recommend Awakenings.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Davila?
I was so disappointed after coming to this psychiatrist. I've been on Suboxone for over a year and needed a new doctor and wanted a psychiatrist that would care about me and my mind and body, vs a typical Suboxone doctor. Dr. Davila isn't it. I saw her, she shook my hand and then left the room. In the meantime, I waited 90 minutes to be seen, then was dealt with by a man in casual clothes. Was he an assistant, another doctor, or a PA? No idea. If he said, I don't remember hearing it. Same old..
