WASTE OF TIME, WASTE OF MONEY!
She said no and bounced me back to my pain management doctor (whom I think is a great doctor!), but I digress. Prior to my exiting her examining room, I brought up to her attention that I didn’t know what was troubling her today, because the 1st time I saw her in Miami she absolutely seemed great and that the Plantation location was closer to my work than Miami. I also stated that she has the most awful bedside manners. I then asked her if she has ever read her ratings online (because unfortunately, in the age of digital everything) this is how everyone makes the decisions on where to spend their time and money. She responded that she has not ready her reviews, I told her that she might want to because hers were at 2.1 stars, I would gander to say that those ratings are abysmal. As someone who has a plethora of health issues, unfortunately – I found her clueless, not empathetic or sympathetic. Some patients might not mind having a doctor like her, but I am not one of them.

I need to switch doctors. She doesn't seem to care
I, and I'm sure many of her patients, require a lot of dedication. Autoimmune disorders change our entire lives. I have seen many many doctors in my life and she just doesn't show she cares. I've been her patient for about a year now and she has never scheduled me for an appointment in the office. The staff keeps scheduling me for televisits even though I ask them not to. I don't understand how a rheumatologist can go a year without ever doing a physical evaluation of one of her patients. Super unprofessional and a waste of my time.

I have the same experience as others. This doctor has no clue, she was reading the blood tests and she gave me the same answers that she gives to everybody else's. She didn't give me a diet or anything. I have a special condition a doctor in Los Angeles can handle and I need a special medication but I needed a local doctor and I needed up with this meaningless no one. Stay away from her, she is a proud.

I had a telehealth visit with this provider on May 15, 2020. She was unresponsive to my issue and seemed to almost be reading from a script, giving me generic information NOT tailored to my medical issue. I had also tried to contact her office the day before and was unable to actually reach anyone in order to ensure they had my more recent medical results. Their fax was not accepting incoming faxes. Overall, completely unprofessional experience and NOT what one would expect from the UM. She also appeared on camera with a crucifix in the background (presumably she's at home) and was not professionally attired for our meeting.

Waited 2-3 months for visit . Dr Carpintero didn’t even look st film X-ray . Looked at my hands ten said it’s osteoarthritis. Said use ibuprofen . I told her I have asthma and can’t take arthritis. I aske question about all types of arthritis and gout asked her to rule them out since she said osteoarthritis is just a clinical diagnosis . I told her my son has Cvid and to please rule out the other arthritis types as auto immune disorders run in my family . She didn’t even give me a Rhuem/work up

Disappointed. I waited 3 months to see Dr. Carpintero & I found her to be harsh and rude. I was in so much pain when I arrived to my appt & she acted as if she could care less. She was not helpful & ended up referring me to other doctors, which I now have to wait another 2 months to see. I spent approximately 10min with the doctor, at which time she diagnosed me with something, didn't explain what it was (had to google it), and gave me a referral. This is something a rheumatologist should treat!

Had my 1st visit w/ Dr. Carpintero today. She was awesome!! She listened to my concerns, did a thorough exam, ordered blood work & x-rays, gave me all the info on the new medication she prescribed. Gave me other ways I could help alleviate the RA pain. And she did all this with a sincere & humerous attitude! I usually dread going to the doctor, but I'm actually looking forward to my next visit! I'm a PROUD FSU FAN, but have to admit everyone I dealt w/ at UHealth was great, but GO NOLES (-;

Dr. Carpintero has been treating me for several conditions for more than two years, I can't think of a better humanitarian person to deal with the different challenges that I, as well as the rest of her patients, must face on a daily basis. She is always patience to listen and explain in the best and easiest way possible for me to understand what is happening at the moment and how it's going to be treated. It is a great feeling knowing that you have an exceptional Doctor.
