Dr. Maria Asis, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Maria Asis for many many years. I wanted to highlight only a few of the many attributes of Dr. Asis. I have always found her to be extremely thorough in her examinations and follow up procedures or treatment plans, if needed. I have been most impressed with her commitment to keeping abreast with current medical studies, recommended prescriptions, and treatment plans. Dr. Asis has also provided guidance around diet, exercise, and prescriptions available specifically addressing perimenopause and menopause life phases. She is an expert physician who is dedicated and approachable. I would without hesitation recommend her to friends and family.

Booking an appointment was straightforward, and the office is conveniently situated off the highway in a charming neighborhood. However, what truly stood out was the thoroughness of the questions asked and genuine mannerism of Dr. Assis. It's clear that I made the right choice in selection this practice.

All I have to say is Dr Maria Asis is the best. I have been seeing her for many years. She’s a very sincere, understanding & compassionate Doctor she answers all your questions when asked. I Started with her father Dr Jose Asis, then her brother until he moved Dr Antonio Asis & now for the past 15 years with Dr Maria Asis

Dr. Asis has been my OB/Gyn since I relocated to Connecticut in 2014. One of my most important decisions after settling in Hamden was finding a good physician. I count myself fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Asis. She is knowledgable, compassionate, and supportive. She listens to me and involves me in decisions about my health care, answers my questions, and addresses my concerns. I have had appointments in all of her office locations and the staff has been professional at each. She calls to discuss lab results with me, and when I leave messages with her office, I typically get a call back within a few hours.

Dr. Asis is the most caring, competent, and thorough gynocologist I know. She is genuine and takes the time to answer all my questions and will prescribe tests if there is any sign of one needed. She is the best.

Dr. Maria Asis has been my gynecologist for many years. Dr. Asis is very thorough with me, answers all my questions and genuinely cares about my health. She will do provide whatever needed (ultra sound, blood test, etc.) if there is any possibility that I may have health "threat" of any sort as related to gynecology. She always personally calls with test results. I totally admire and respect her knowledge, competence, ethics, and genuine caring ways.

I’ve gone to Dr. Asis for over 15 years. For the last 3 years I’ve complained of excessive clotting & menses. It’s pulling teeth to be seen & when I am she took no action. I finally went to another OBGYN in Cheshire and was concerned & immediately scheduled me for an ultrasound. Ultrasound showed several polyps in my uterus & surgery is scheduled for next week. Due to the size of the polyps they’ve been there for years! Definitely DO NOT recommend & grateful for seeking another provider!!

We did not bond well I'm still trying to get the office to understand that it's like pulling teeth!
