Dr. Nakashizuka is a brilliant surgeon. I had a lumpectomy in January 2024, and appreciated her data-driven approach to recommending that surgery over more complicated ones. I really respect that she does not contract with a single hospital so that she can refer patients to the one that she feels is best for that particular surgery. She has incredible intelligence and integrity. She is known by all the mammogram technicians for her meticulous and ultimately hard to detect incisions!

Dr Mari Nakashizuka
Dr Mari Nakashizuka was wonderful when I was very concerned abut a lump in my breast. She did a lumpectomy & analyzed the lump. She used local anesthesia so I felt nothing. I'm very grateful it wasn't cancer. but if it had been I would hav been totally confident with her as my surgeon.

Best Surgeon Ever!!!
The only thing difficult with Dr. Nakashizuka is pronouncing her last name. She is such a wonderful and caring doctor, explaining everything so well. For one who doesn't like surgery, I was very comfortable. Her staff is wonderful, Milly, is a true treasure handling all of the arrangements and a force to be reckoned with.

Dr. Nakashizuja is an amazingly talented surgeon. She did the lumpectomy on me many years ago and it was so beautifully done. No scarring. My OBGYN was impressed. Love her.

I had two mammograms done on the mainland the end of Sept, 2016. Based on these mammograms, I needed biopsies done. Since we moved to the Big Island, I brought my records to Dr. Gedayloo to arrange for biopsies the middle of November, 2016. Long story short, the biopsies established that I did have a fast growing breast cancer. I was referred to Dr. Mari Nakashizuka (in Honolulu) and saw her on December 30, 2016. I flew to Honolulu because there is no breast specialist surgeon or plastic su
